replacement sensor,

This was a replacement sensor for the original that came with the WII. The original had wires that were sucked up by the vacuum cleaner and the sensor hit the floor and would not work. The replacement sensor works great and as good as the original. Would highly recommend. Would also recommend keeping the wires off the floor-so they do blend in the right color rug and get sucked up by the vacuum.

perfectly good sensor bar,
This review is from: HDE Wired Infrared Sensor Bar for Nintendo Wii (Video Game)
I originally had one of these before and it worked great, until my cat chewed through the wire. I guess thats a flaw to consider that it is wired, but compared to the wireless sensor bars that are out there, the wired one is oh so much better.

Overall the product works well, although there were minor problems the first day. The adhesive for the stand didn't work (I used my own). Also, the sensor didn't seem to work properly at first. After the sensitivity was adjusted in the wii system everything worked well.

When I read the description of this product, I believed it to be an original sensor bar...one that comes with a Wii. I compared my old one (my rabbit chewed the cord and I couldn't patch it)to this one, I noticed the difference on the back. Mine had a Nintendo logo, this one doesn't. I tried it and there isn't much difference from the original sensor bar. It works like it's supposed to. I'm just a little picky that's all. Overall, a good replacement. It's better than having one of those wireless sensor bars-replacing batteries for these wireless sensor bars becomes expensive after a while.

This item is a great replacement for the original sensor bar that came with the system. The only complaint I would have is that it really does not come with any instructions. We did have to reconfigure the sensor bar (pg. 52 in Wii operations manual). If I had not read other reviews I would not have know to do this. This information would be best if included with the item when purchased.

Very poor quality receiver - jerky and short range,

We enjoy the WII, which is great. Like many others, I damaged the Nintendo factory sensor bar with the vacuum.
There is nothing postive to say about this cheap receiver bar. The problems are: 1. Jerky as all get-out. Appears to have a harder time detecting the direction-position-motion of the WII remote that the Nintendo version did. 2. Short range - works best at 5 feet, erratic at 7 feet and fails utterly by the time you get 9 feet away from this receiver bar. 3. Others who complained about crappy adhesive are right: I had to use my own double-sided tape to make it work. The weird stuff included as an adhesive pad is worthless. I'm trying to avoid the troublesome wireless receiver bar, but I may have no choice. This just doesn't work unless you get right up close to the screen. Junk.

This product works great. I bought it to put on my TV in my bedroom so I could move the Wii back and forth without ungluing the original sensor bar from my living room TV. Just as good as the original, and the price was great!

Works great. Hooked it up to a second tv so the Wii box can moved back and forth without having to disconnect everything else.

I bought this after I accidentally cut the wire on my original one. I plugged this in and it works great.

We had to purchase a new sensor bar after the original was sucked up in the vacuum. I was a bit wary because there was such a variety of prices, but figured I'd try and get off cheap before sinking a ton on cash into this. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this one works well, possibly just as well as the original. We haven't noticed a difference between the two.
