I bought this product simply because I needed the T8 Torx Driver. Well low and behold the kit does not have the T8 it has a two way T10. Thank you for the false advertising and a waste of 2 day shipping. Now I am in the same place I was before with no way to take out the bolts.

I bought this kit for the screwdriver, to open an XBOX 360 controller, and it is complete garbage. The screwdriver has the same sized bit on both ends, and they do NOT work. The hole, necessary for security screws, is off-center, which makes it unusable. It will not fit the screw. If you are considering this kit for the screwdriver, please don't waste your money.

This product is completely terrible. If you actually need a t8 sized scewdriver then dont waste your time buying this. It is a Bold FALSE ADVERTISING!!! Like the other guy stated im now stuck at the same damn point i was before i wasted 6$ on this crap.

Shipping was kinda slow but when it arrived I put it to use and it worked flawlessly. The metal tabs to bend fairly easy I plan on buying more though so no biggie.

This tool does exactly what it says it does. While you will still void the XBox warranty by opening this minimizes the potential damage you could do. The hardest part is separating the top and bottom half of the XBox and this makes it very easy and it lines up every connector piece at once so all you have to do is push in and it will pop right off. Great item if you need to repair or want to modify your system.

dont waste the money at all, cant open the controller, it doesnt work. now i need to go buy another one

I've used this tool many times to open xbox repairs. It is a great tool, yes. But I've gone through 3 of them so far, the metal is not that great and the only part that really bends is the pointer where you poke into the holes of the casing to unlock the grey vents. That's the only part that breaks on me over time, i would recommend using the torx that comes with this product to unlock the grey vents if it will fit. Other than that this tool saves you a lot of time especially if you are new to modding or repairing for these things. This is a great tool, i like it for its ability to unlock the case in the back all at once, but not the metal its made with. Cheap metal, great idea.

I actually got this kit because it was hard to find a torx 8 scredriver.
The plate itself is made of a very ductile material that bends very easily.
I had the xbox already opened when the kit arrived, so didn't use it for that. Although I closed it and opened a few times (not completely closed) and for the back side, it was good enough, but the front side was not so good, as it is tighter and the locks are bigger.

Actually, I ended up sanding 2 of the 4 front locks, that makes it easier to open it... but good enough so it doesn't open by itself.

The funny thinkg about this... is that actually there are 2 scredrivers!! not just one! I didn't find the torx 8 until when I was getting ready to throw away the packaging!! the image only shows one... and actually both sides of it are torx 10 in one and torx 8 in the other!! it is not 10 on one side and 8 on the other!!!

As you can imagine, I ended up buying a torx 8 and then returning it after 2 weeks later I found out that there was a second screwdriver in the packaging!!

The wrench is actually a T10 on the short end and a T9 on the long end. I have another set of torx keys and I compared the bits. The T9 is barely larger than the T8 so I think it may work with T8 screws.

My holes are are not off-center.

As for the other ubiquitous metal piece that shipped with it, I have no idea what that was. It was made of metal that I can bend with my two hands (the same type of metal that's used in computer desktop frames, except more bendable). I have no idea how this could be used to take apart a controller, as it is fully a millimeter in thickness- thicker than my fingernail. Anyways, I threw it out. Whatever.

I ordered this item on Sunday and got it that Wednesday! Super fast shipping. I opened it straight away and took apart my xbox in about 3 minutes with this tool. Normaly it would have taken me 15 to 20 so it really helps. The quality of the tools are great as well, i havnt had either of them break or bend. Th torque screw driver even opens controllers for the xbox. The only negative i found was that the screw driver was a bit painfull to use but other than that the product was fantastic, 5 out of 5!
