Does not work for 1080p,

This review is from: HDMI M / M Cable, 50 FT / 15 M (Electronics)
Pros: cheap price, long length, works up to 1080i
Cons: does not work with 1080p I am using this cable to connect my computer to a 47" LCD. It works perfectly up to 1080i. With 1080p (both 50 and 60 Hz), there is much extra green and some blue band distortion, indicating the cable cannot deliver the bandwidth necessary for these resolutions. For my use, since I'm not willing to pay for a more expensive cable at this time, I will be using 1080i. In the future, I'll be upgrading the cable to one that can do 1080p 60Hz. If all you need a long cable up to 1080i, this cable is an excellent deal. If you need 1080p, this cable will not be usable.

Well, to start with, this cable will not blow you away from its actual look, but its functionality is the key element here. The cable is actually able to reproduce 1080P from devices that are able to reproduce 1080P graphics. Example of this is one common problem that many people around here(comment/reviews area) encounter as the main downside of the cable. If you want to connect your laptop to your HDTV, first you need to have a laptop/desktop with a capable-to-reproduce-1080P graphics card, and second to have a 1080P Full HDTV. If you got a 720P(or less) laptop/desktop screen resolution(or graphics card related), DO NOT expect this cable to make you the miracle and reproduce your output signal in 1080P on your TV(assuming that your TV is a 1080p FULL). Got to have both devices with this capability(1080p FULL); otherwise, it won't do the miracle for you. So for those complaining about this cable, suck it up and get the right equipment before you comment about something you have no clue of its functionality.
Steps to follow IF you want to get 1080P full: 1- Get a 1080p FULL LCD or TV 2- Get a laptop/desktop(HDMI direct INPUT(no adapters)) that has an ATI(gaming card)/NVIDIA/ or any other graphic cards that are able to reproduce or support 1080p Fluid motion( not just mimic it; just like some 720p TVs or monitors do nowadays). 2- If you're using a desktop, you need to get a display(monitor) with a resolution equal to 1600 x 900 or higher. The same goes for laptops. 3- Plug the cable on each device. Note: if you're using your computer with Windows 7 Ultimate, it most likely, the monitor recognition will be automatic. 4- Enjoy!!! If your TV is higher(in resolution)than your computer, then the image you'll see on your TV will NOT take the whole LCD screen(full screen). The signal will only take the exact resolution of your computer(LCD or monitor) on your HDTV(it scales the signal but keeping the 1080P resolution ALWAYS). Hope this review helps. "You got to know your devices before you say bad this about them". Keep this in mind negative reviewers.

Works as well as a 6' cable,

I have this cable connecting my home theater PC to my HDTV. I am running a resolution of 1920 x 1440 at a 60 Hz refresh rate, the maximum my HDTV will accept. The display looks great, and is identical to the display I get with a 6' cable.

Used this cable to wire my livingroom from my LCD on the wall through the walls and ceiling to my Entertainment center on the other side. Quality is great, cost even better. Was almost the same cost as the local stores 6' one.UPDATE: Cable still working like a champ three years later. About to buy two more.

Does not work with Blu-ray or XBOX 360...,

As others have stated, this cable will not work with 1080P devices. It works fine for my cable box but when I try using it in my Blu-Ray player, it will show the main menu than quickly switch to "searching for signal" and get stuck there. The XBOX 360 will show up, but the screen is completely pixelated and crap. Upset with this purchase and will try to return.

I bought this cable to connect my Sony Blu-Ray player to my Optoma 1080p HD Projector in the ceiling of my Family Room. At this price, I think the 50-ft HDMI Cable is excellent. The projector reports that it is receiving a 1080p picture, and the image quality is excellent. One small problem, though: When the movie is NOT playing, and the Blu-Ray player is on, there are flashes on the screen every 5 seconds or so. This does not happen with the same projector or blu-ray player with a shorter HDMI cable. I have not figured out why it happens. But when the movie is playing on the Blu-Ray player, and connected to the projector with the 50-ft HDMI cable, there is no problem with the picture.

My wife went to Best Buy to buy this cable for $261.00 with taxes. My heart almost exploded. I did not believe she did it. However, it was a surprise. I told her "darling I saw I cable for about 39 dollars with shipping in Amazon.com. So I decided to try it. The cable does not have any name or manufactured of it. However, it does the job great. Believe me, I am very picky about having good quality products. Nevertheless, these cable earn all my respect.
Price cheap and affordable Length long enough It works Greaaaatt Yeahhh!!!!! Projection Optoma Screen 156" Diagonal Image looks great

I moved my cable box to closet and ran 2 of the 50' HDMI cords in the walls to a home theater wall plate. Once attached to my LED LCD TV I immediate noticed a poorer, duller, less clear picture. It is clear that this cable does not support 1080p.

Had to return cable due to constant static noise such as that produced from electromagnetic interference. Cable must not be shielded in anyway as simply walking next to produces image distortion and noise. Overall a poorly constructed cable.
