I ordered this adapter for our Sony Handycam. What I got in the mail was not like the pictures on Amazon's listing. It was an adapter, yes, but it was rectangular and bulky, and completely useless - it was too bulky to squeeze into the handycam's jack housing (the jacks are recessed in a small compartment and covered by a little sliding door).

Update the pics for this product please! Do not purchase if you're a handycam user!

I was a little wary after reading some other reviews for this HDMI to mini HDMI converter, but I figured for the price I'd give it a shot. Most of the negative reviews indicate that the item delivered does not have the tapered end; however, the item I just got from CablesOnline does indeed have the tapered end and works perfectly with my HDMI cable and my Canon 5D Mark II and Nikon D700 camera bodies which is why I needed this little converter because the HDMI connection on these dSLR's is the type C (mini) version.

I bought this to connect my GPU to my HDTV, as newer NVIDIA cards have a mini-HDMI outlet... was that enough acronyms?

It doesn't stick very far in (giggity), so when you're inserting it (giggity goo), you're not sure if it is secure... however it doesn't come loose, and I've had no problems with signal quality or anything. A good buy.

With the way the GTX 465 sits in the tower of my pc, I needed to do a little customizing to the adapter to make it fit properly. I didnt have the issue as other have had with the adapter falling out. Had to trim about 1/8" off 1 side with a razor. Product worked like a champ.

This cable works very well for video transfers and high definition viewing from my HD camcorder. Just as advertised and a good deal for the money.

Contrary to another reviewer, this did not work with my Canon 5DM2 HD video. I tried three different HDMI cables both in my flat screen monitor and in my flat panel display.

Great HDMI cable adapter for Canon Elph 300 HS camera. Snug fit into Camera and HDMI cable. Great alternative to having a special HDMI cable just for my camera.

Adapter works and has a very snug connection with an HDMI cable. Price was very cheap and the product is great.

This was exactly what I wanted it to be. I had no doubt the video quality would be good, as long as it connected the two sources, and it does. What I am thrilled with is that there is no jiggling in either side. The plug is not likely to fall out, as it is snug, but not too large. A+
