I bought this cable and the 25' (Link Depot HDMI to HDMI Cable (25 feet)) and when I tried to use the 50' the signal didn't come through. I switched to the 25' and it worked perfectly. I switched back to the 50' and the signal went in and out and wasn't crisp. This is a common problem with inexpensive long cables. So though this may work sometimes I wouldn't depend on it for anything crucial.

50 Ft HDMI to HDMI cable,
By Dhani S. (San Bruno, CA) - See all my reviews

My intention was to connect my personal computer in my bedroom to an HDTV in the living room. After I connected it, I accessed Netflix and watched the movie on the HDTV. The video quality being displayed on the HDTV was low. The graphic and sound were distorted and flickering. I then purchased a 6 ft. HDMI to HDMI cable and connected the computer, that's now in the living room, to the TV. The quality of the graphic and sound improved tremendously while watching online videos. I'm assuming the functionality of a long HDMI to HDMI cable is to transmit text and still pictures, not digital video.

Needed a cable this long to string an HD camcorder taping focus groups in one room to an adacent viewing room for clients. Worked very well -- and was much cheaper than other options. And of course, an HDMI solution is much "cleaner" than using component and separate stereo audio cables, such as what came with the camera.

I bought this cable from BargainCell to extend HDMI from a TiVo Premiere DVR which has lower power consumption than the TiVo HD or Series 3. I mention this because I've read reviews from other customers who purchased different products reporting they could not get a signal on a 50' cable. I am glad to report that that is not the case with this cable. I was prepared to get an amplifier but was pleasntly surprised when this cable didn't need one. The cable feels heavy duty and the signal is great!

I ordered this to replace a 50ft cable I already had. Just like my other cable, however, this one did not work at 1080p 60hz. It did work at 1080p 30hz which I suppose is about as good as 1080i.

This cable carried my HDMI signal 50 feet to my HD projector from my Panasonic Blu-Ray player without the need for a signal booster. This is at least partly due to the 24AWG but also the gold connectors probably help reduce signal loss.Since I am running straight from player to projector, I am only using the video conductors of this cable but the image was very good. Excellent for the price.

50 Foot cable does not work at 1080P on my Optoma HD20 Projector. 1080i and below seem to work fine. But 1080P is nothing is very snowy. A shorter cable does work with my projector. And this 50 foot cable did work with my LCD montitor. So I need to find a better cable for my projector. Glad I have not hung it from the ceiling yet or I would be pissed.

Works great for a long run, not problem by its self. Only issue I've had is when a secondary device is connected through a home theater, but nothing directly connected to this cable has problems. It is great for long runs and the shielding must work well as I'm running it along a power cable for about 6ft with no issues.

Well, it works fine. The cable itself is HEFTY. It's nearly as thick as my pinky. Feels like it'll last for a good long time. |
