Apple Mac Mini MC815LL/A Desktop (OLD VERSION)
Used & New from: $409.00
HDMI questions for a Vizio E220VA I am contemplating purchasing one of these new Mac Minis and a Vizio E220VA to use as a desktop system; first, will the Mac Mini have any problems driving the Vizio on its first boot up? Second, will the HDMI port include both video and audio from the mini, or would I need to purchase another cable to do that? Thanks for the help!

windows 7 in bootcamp has no sound out of HDMI. I bought this for my media center and have tried everything. So far Apple has not provided drivers for it, The sound works great in Apple Lion

I did exactly what you want to do. I have just purchased a Mac Mini and used the HDMI out from the Mac into the HDMI in on a Vizio 1080p 24 inch widescreen LCD TV/Monitor. Absolutely no problems. The screen was recognized on boot up and I get great picture and sound. I did not even need to adjust the size of the screen.
