This arrived about a week after I ordered it and it's just a gorgeous, very well-made piece of furniture. In addition, it was incredibly easy to put together by myself - no help - and I'm a 64 yr old woman.Only problem was when I couldn't get the doors to stay in:the directions forget to say "return to upright position before inserting doors."No problem. So why only a 4? My DVD recorder fit UNTIL I connected those white/yellow/red connectors. THEN the machine jutted out about an inch too far to close the doors! I had to get my little saw out and cut an additional hole in the back so they'd stick out the back. Easy to do, but shouldn't have been necessary if they'd either increase the depth by an inch or two, or make the back with some perforated "holes" one could just punch out if needed. But I DO really love this cabinet.It's really beautiful.

My husband and I bought this HDTV stand last March (it is now December 2011). It fits well with our other furniture, which is why we choose it in the first place, but the functionality is why we like it so much. The finish is a satin black, and although there were a couple of rub marks from shipping, they were easily covered with a black Sharpie -- can't find them now!

My Husband and Daughter put it together, as a "project" and did not have any trouble. The two sliding doors allow easy access to either side, and there is plenty of room for all our family room components (stereo, receiver, DVD, Blu-Ray, VCR) with room to spare for our favorite DVDs. The only drawback is that once it was loaded with our equipment, it was difficult to slide across the carpet back to the wall, but I would guess that this would be a problem for any stand such as this.

We would love to find a storage system for DVDs that would match.
