5.0 out of 5 stars Scale has worked perfectly for 4 years
I bought this scale at least 4 years ago at Target. It still works like new. I recently changed my age on it, which prompted me to write this review. It's a great, simple, durable scale that looks nice enough. The only possible detraction is that it doesn't save your weight/body fat % data over time (a feature I wouldn't use anyway). It does, of course, store your...

2.0 out of 5 stars Maybe I didnt know how to use it
Well ... lets make it simple
each time I do fat check I get a new number . Not every day . But if I do 3 time checking in 3 minuts the difference may become 5% . up to now I dont know if my fat is 34% or 20% because I'm getting all those reading in different time.
Secondly . The scale will store only the last time you did the measurment . So if you are planning...

It's a great, simple, durable scale that looks nice enough. The only possible detraction is that it doesn't save your weight/body fat % data over time (a feature I wouldn't use anyway). It does, of course, store your height, age, and sex information in either of the 2 "profiles" for more accurate body fat% readings. It also stores your one last reading, just not a backlog of every reading ever. Also, I've never changed the batteries. Using the scale every morning has been great motivation for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Weight is accurate, i don't use body fat readings, July 24, 2010
This review is from: HEALTHOMETER BFM920-01 WEIGHT SCALE WHITE 330LBS 1.6""DISPLAY (Electronics)
i bought several scales before finding this one.

The previous scales would LIE to me. If you stepped on and got a reading, stepped off, then stepped on again, you would get the exact same reading. At first that sounds like a good accurate scale. BUT, if you pick up a bottle of shampoo and step on the scale, it still gives the exact same reading. Turns out that anything within a pound or two those other scales would just give your last measurement. LAME.

However, this particular scale tells you exactly what it is measuring. If you pick up a bottle of shampoo, it tells you that you just gained 0.3 pounds. Nice. VERY nice.

As i said in the title, i have never paid attention to the body fat readings.

If you want a REAL weight measurement, this scale will give it to you.

1.0 out of 5 stars Body fat measurements inconsistent and inaccurate, June 1, 2008

As a weight scale, this product is fine, as a bodyfat measure it is completely useless. So far this month I've lost 7 pounds and 1.5 inches off my waist but this thing has my bodyfat up one day, down the next, it is wildly inconsistent and therefore useless. I bought a skinfold caliper and am now using it daily to get accurate bodyfat measurements.

This review is from: HEALTHOMETER BFM920-01 WEIGHT SCALE WHITE 330LBS 1.6""DISPLAY (Electronics)
This was a replacement for an older Health-O-Meter digital scale. I find the smaller numbers in the display much harder to read at low light levels on this new model then the one it replaced. Usually, I have to move the scale away from the wall in the bathroom, so that I do not cast a shadow on it. And I am not sure how accurate it is. But both my husband and I like that you can program it for two people.
