This review is from: HEARTLAND II: POETS OF THE MIDWEST (Paperback)
There are some good poems in this anthology. However, it does not measure up to the quality of the original Heartland anthology. If you do not have a copy of the first Heartland anthology, I recommend that you start with it and maybe, later, consider Heartland II.

This review is from: Heartland II: Poets of the Midwest (Hardcover)
This volume, though hard to find, is worth every effort. Not to be missed are the three selections by Thomas James. Stryk's introduction is, as always, illuminating and provocative. There is no better collection on this subject
