Product Description

This raised bed garden frame kit includes all steel frame parts and brackets, brackets for PVC plastic hoops, all fasteners, landscape cloth liner for side walls (not shown) and complete instructions. Lumber and PVC plastic tube and wire mesh bottom are not included as they can be readily purchased at any local home improvement center or lumber/hardware store, if desired. The unique through-hole bracket design of this frame system enables side wall lumber to be attached to the steel support brackets at any location/s along the length of the side wall. This results in considerably stiffer side walls than other products in which the side walls are joined only at the ends of the boards. A single board spans the entire length of the side. All frame sections are identical, so these sections could be joined with others to make a 16-20' long bed, if desired. The lumber is not nailed or screwed directly to the brackets. The lumber "floats" in the rectangular frame pockets. The lumber can expand and contract without damaging the structure. The steel support structure will not allow the s to deform. Support brackets from opposing sides of the raised bed are bolted together so that the overall width of the bed will remain uniform during installation and over the service life of the product. Side walls will not bow (deform) outward, as with other products. The frames sections arrive to the customer mostly assembled. The frames are bolted together with rugged 5/16" steel bolts. The steel plate is .18" thick with a rugged dark brown, lightly textured, powder coat paint finish.
