They are not any brighter than the O.E bulbs that come on the fog lights.

Excellent bulb. Hella quality. Superior to OEM.

I hated overdriving the meager 55-watt OEM bulbs and I was disappointed by a set of Sylvania Silverstars: I didn't like their blue tint and they burned out too quickly. To get me home, I picked up a pair of GE 9006 "Value Pack" bulbs "Made in Hungary" at Wal-Mart only to discover they were only 51 Watts!

These are a simple plug-n-play installation -- I swapped-out both headlights in less than five minutes. Just use caution not to touch the glass or leave fingerprints on the bulbs. I used isopropyl alcohol to clean my fingers and the bulbs before installation.

Be aware that most US-manufacture automobile wiring harnesses will not handle the increased current requirements of these bulbs. 80 Watts at 12 Volts means these babies are drawing almost 7 Amps each. I have had no problems using them in Acura, Honda and Toyota, but they burned-up the wiring harness in two Ford Explorers. If in doubt, use a power relay adapter cable.

The Hella model/item number listed in the heading is correct. However, the photo shows a twin-pack of "Xenon Blue" Hella bulbs "Made in Germany". The actual item is a single conventional Hella halogen bulb in a yellow cardboard box "Made in Germany". Actually, I prefer these bulbs to the pricier "Xenon Blue" bulbs.

The packaging was marginal at best, but (fortunately) none of the bulbs were damaged in transit.

These lights are awesome! I've been using the so called "xenon quality" blue tinted bulbs in my truck for a few years now never really liked them. I decided to switch back to regular Halogen but with a little more wattage and I got to say it was a great decision. You can't go wrong with these and the price is amazingly low!

These lights are incredibly bright, much brighter than I was expecting. I installed in my 2005 Buick Century, which has quad beam system, so I had to order 4 bulbs, I also installed the recommended upgraded wiring harnesses and sockets (which are simple plug and play). I have tried Silverstars and Phillips Xtreme Power and neither were as bright as the Hella's. Not certain where ahmadr purchased his lights, but all four of mine say made in Germany and fit perfectly. Have only had for a month, but so far no discoloration at all to the headlight lens. I strongly recommend these, plus they are much cheaper than any of the other performance bulbs. Since installed, I have not had one person flash me, as if my lights were on bright. But a lot of this has to do with how your lights are aimed. Make sure your lights are not aimed to high.

Love the Hella 80W low beam head light I also got the 100W high beams
they are so bright you can see the reflection off a stop sign even in the middle of the day
but you MUST get the ceramic pig tails so the OEM plugs don't melt
You can't go wrong but order a spare because they burn hot and more likely to fail from she shock from hitting a big pothole in the road

I am a mechanic by profession for 15 years. I have tried many of the light bulb styles available at local stores. Lighting improvements range from "what a waste of money" to "eeh, I think I notice a difference, but still a waste of money." Upon arrival of these Hella bulbs, I inspected the filament placement of them with a stock bulb, (often an aftermarket manufactures' higher wattage bulb, will have the filament offset a bit and it diffuses the focused beam, defeating the purpose of a higher wattage bulb.) These were exactly where they are supposed to be. After installing these bulbs into my car and making a few minor tweaks to the headlight aiming, I noticed a HUGE improvement with the road illumination.

So far I have no issues with melted connectors or the reflective backing inside the lens flaking apart from the increased heat and amperage draw, (yes I have looked) but it has been only 5 months that I have used them. These lights will stress your headlight wiring system as per the increased amperage draw. If you have an older car and something fails after installation, it was probably on its way out already. These bulbs just helped promote it.

***Remember, your vehicle was NOT designed with this type of bulb wattage. It was designed to utilize 55 watts, not 80. If something fails or melts, its not the bulbs fault, its the owners fault for overloading the design! I'm just sayin.

On a negative note however, the excessive glare these lights create, make oncoming traffic think that your high beams are on. I am "flashed" more often now. Street signs are VERY bright from the glare. Anything that is reflective is VERY highly visible.

Yes, I will be buying more of these in the future.

Nothing wrong with this bulb - works fine and it is the Hella model/item number listed in the heading. However, as of this moment, the photo shows a twin-pack of "xenon blue" Hella bulbs "Made in Germany". The actual item that arrived was a single conventional halogen bulb in a yellow cardboard box made by Hella "in India". As I said, it works well and the price is very good - but don't expect a pair of the fancier "xenon blue" bulbs for this price.
