This is a good general review but the text is not really releated to the actual test at all. One example, is the math. The book just mentions basic algebra. In reality, most of the math portion of the test deals with fractions. I gave it an extra star because of the test taking tips and the section on dealing with test anxiety. It is a good review but that's all it is, I dont suggest buying this.

I bought this study guide and it is a complete waste of money. You would be much better of buying the HESI Admission Assessment Study Guide.

This was a good book however it did not have any practice tests or practice questions so I kind of went into the test blind

Don't buy this book! It will leave you more confused than before...so many errors made...I even emailed them a whole bunch of errors that I found and I got absolutely NO response from them! For example, page. 84, the book says "Germ cells have 44 chromosomes, and the final chromosomal pair is contributed at the time of fertilization" HUH? Germ cells or sex cells are haploid...meaning that they have half the number of chromosomes as somatic cells...the answer is half of 46, which is 23...where did they get 44 from??...Here is another error...On page 60. It states that facilitated diffusion is active transport. Sorry but active transport is when ATP is used either directly or indirectly. Facilitated diffusion requires the help of transport proteins to move across, but it is still considered passive transport unless ATP is used. There are other mistakes in the book, but you get the point.

Why would you ever want to read a review book with so many typographical errors? This is embarrassing to Mometrix and a poor showing on their part. The company (not amazon) should offer refunds to ALL of its customers for for a job poorly done. I'd give the book maybe 1.5 stars but since the math has so many errors in its section I couldn't figure out the "rounding part" and decide if 1.5 stars gets rounded to 1 or 2 stars.......

The Hesi A2 manual was very helpful in passing the pre-entrance nursing exam. What I would like to see, is more math questions under the practice test section. Many adults returning to school find the math portion the most challenging.

This study guide was very helpful. I was able to review what I needed without being completely lost. It is so well organized and I would recommend it to anyone.

I usually don't write reviews but I am in the hopes that no one will waste money on this book. As someone said it is full of mistakes, ex, it states the stomach should be at a ph of 3, the stomach should be at a ph of .5-1.5 NOT 3. I took my Hesi this weekend and was a question on my test, thank God I knew that was an error or I would have missed that question. I emailed them as well and the response was send the book back for a refund. No sorry, no thank you, nothing. This book sucks and so does their customer service. If I could have given it 0 stars I would have.

if you are taking the entrance exam this book will help, (although you do not need to remember all the equation, but you do need to know conversion of like a pint and gallon, simple solve for X and fractions) (and the reading and grammer!!!!) then keep the book. b/c in arizona after your 1semester you need to take the rest of the test (biology and whatelse is in the book) you must hav this book to do well

Book is an excellent study guide for the LPN to RN course offered by many colleges. Shipper stated it would take 7 - 10 days, got it in 3!!!
