I was in the middle of printing several copies of one page of a Word document that included a box with a grey background. Despite what you might think, this uses the color cartridge, not the black one. As the ink runs out, the printer starts printing the grey as purple, then pink.

I put in one of these cartidges and the difference is striking. The grey simply is not as rich. I also have a logo I print out on a regular basis that has a very particular shade of green in it and this cartridge does not produce that color.

These cartridges are so much less expensive than the HP cartridges I was very hopeful. Alas, I think they are priced just about right compared to the real thing. If you rate the HP cartridge as a 10, this is no better than a 6. It is probably good enough for the majority of print jobs, but if you're looking for precision in your colors, this is not your cartridge.
