Gets the job done - but temperature stability is lacking,

I own this device which I purchased with the intention of using a healthy alternative to replace traditional smoking of cigarettes - while not giving up on tobacco altogether.
Though this vaporizer may be worthwhile insofar that its possible to smoke pleasant tobacco - I think there are better options. The biggest issue is the temperature swings. You set the device for a desired temperature (around 180-190 C - app 435-450 Fahrenheit I guess) which is optimal (Higher temperatures causes burnning). However, the problem is that the device has serious issues in keeping the core temperature that it has been set to. Hence, when inhaling you must be very careful not to over-inhale as this cools the cheramic heating element which subsequently triggers the device to compensate. However, the device regulate itself badly as the temperature easily skyrockets + 50 degrees over the max setting you have - causing potential burning of your tobacco. It's not exactly the smallest of its kind - its a bit clumsy (as many other of it's kind) and it looks like a car battery measurement device. Thus, you don't exactly feel tempted to bring it along to cocktail parties. However, the pricing is relatively low-end. That being said - I would save my dough and go spend it on a hi-quality vaporizer. Probably such as the Vulcano (albeit uncannily expensive) paired with a vaporgenie pipe for portable needs. Altogether - you can use this by being excceptionally careful. However, the design + temperature issue is a definite turn-off. Not recommended for the connaisseur.
