Great card with great build quality, I have only heard good things about HIS and I can definitely say the same with this experience.

Fan sits right above the VRM areas, which is definitely a plus.

I was researching for about a week on the best bang for your buck and my result was this and the gtx 660 ti EVGA. I originally went with the 660 because in most benchmarks the 660 is higher because of their default clock speeds. After having the 660 ti for a week i sent it back and got this because buyers remorse was killing me. Its been over 3 weeks and i couldnt be happier. Having only
a midtower, temps were really important to me and HIS is awesome at keeping their cards cool. It might come stock keepingat 935mhz but can easily OC ed to 1000 - 1200 AND you still have 384bit memory compared to nvidia 192. I almost went with the 670 but the extra 100 wasnt worth the extra few fps. I can run bf3 and ultra with no skips. Overall a great investment.

Edit: the biggest dissapointment was finding out that even though i ordered this from amazon llc it still wasnt eligible for radeons reloaded free games. Yet the exact thing from newegg was...

at 214.99 this card wrecks anything in it's price range (660,7870), i was planning on waiting on the Hawaii gpus but after seeing this deal i had to jump on it. this card handles all i throw at it paired with my 8320 (except crysis 3 turn down aa a lil bit). i mainly play battlefield and even when recording (mirillis action highly recommend) i maintain a steady 60 fps (i am running at 1440x900) but overall its awesome and im going to wait for the hawaii performance to be revealed before i decide to buy the next generation or go in crossfire with another one of theses (which they were designed for). also i overclocked mine to 1GHz (playing it safe) and i got 71c (i have very poor airflow right now source 210 with no fans added) i will update as soon as i get my fans ( 4 120mm tb enermax and 140mm enermax) but this is more about my rig than my card. but i highly recommend it great temps for such bad airflow and silent operation (almost forgot)

Card worked fine for a while. It's still functional in 2D, but crashes frequently in 3D, even with no overdrive.

Runs really well still waiting for my bioshock and Crysis 3 codes though! Quiet as can be my laptop is starting to die and its fan is loud beyond belief. Really had a good time with this in my first build.

I ordered this card as an upgrade from my 5830 which was struggling in a few more modern games. I installed it and got no POST, no screen output, even using on board intel graphics did not work. However, I diagnosed the issue and it was a BIOS incompatibility since a 6970 my friend had worked fine and uses the same amount of power (we thought it might be a power issue), so I flashed the BIOS and it worked great, keep this in mind if you have this issue.

In 3Dmark11 I got the following scores...
w/ 1125 gpu clock speed, 1285 memory speed. Stock clocks on the 3570k cpu.

graphics: 10,121
physics: 6076
combined: 5910
score: 8642P

If I had any criticism of the card it would be that League of Legends vsync has issues. MOST of the time it runs at a smooth 60 fps, but even in non-graphically intense scenes I've had random slowdown to a choppy looking 40 fps for about 5-10 seconds. This was fixed by changing my windowed setting to borderless from full screen, but my previous card handled vsync just fine and this gpu has been out for over a year so these kinds of issues should have been worked out by now (this is with me using the 13.1 drivers). Also I would suggest turning up the power control (that's what CCC calls it) to 10-20% more, otherwise the card will underclock itself to 300mhz when it gets to more complex scenes in a game and has to stay within it's TDP. I appreciate AMD trying to consume less power but if I buy a $300 card, I want it to perform like the beast it is and not be occasionally held back. It still blows away almost any game stock settings or not.

tldr;
Great, speedy card. Handles any game at maxed settings and great fps. With stock fan settings it stays at or below 61C, but I usually force the fan to stay at 40% for games to keep it very quiet and the temps don't get too much higher, about 68C.

My only gripe was that this card had some crazy coil whine. After playing around with voltages, i discovered that Forcing Constant Voltage in MSI Afterburner solves all whining issues. The whine was caused by rapid voltage switching between 2D/Movie/3D modes. After forcing voltage to be constant, the card is now silent. I am using this in a HTPC config in my Living Room, so power consumption, quietness, and 3d performance are most important

Stock Fan is very quiet and provides good cooling. Fan sits right above the VRM areas, which is definitely a plus.
30-40% Fan Speed: Barely Audible, can only my ear is right next to the computer
40-50% Fan Speed: Quiet hum heard from the couch, away from the computer
50%+ Fan Speed: Tolerable, but above 55% is too loud for my living room application

My card is able to undervolt pretty well too
600MHz Core / 1000 Memory at 0.85v
850MHz Core / 1200 Memory at 1.00v
(Stock is 850/1200 @ 1.2v)

Caught this one when price was hovering just over the $200 mark and man what a great value this is/was. Faster and better than the new AMD 270x card which is selling around the same price.

First card was problematic though. Worked great even on benchmark tests but within 2-3 minutes of firing up a game the card would crash and no longer send a signal to my monitor. Spent a couple of days troubleshooting but couldn't find any problems. Ultimately I think the card had some bad memory.

RMA'd and received the second card. Plugged in and I have been overjoyed since. Card is extremely capable of delivering high FPS at high detail levels. Runs nice and cool (max I have seen is around 68 degrees C) and is quite. I'm very impressed.

Compared to the nvidia 660 I think this is a better card and with the 3 free games, that is just icing on the cake. Great value and a great video card.

Current system is: i5-2400, NZXT H2 case, 8 GB RAM, 650w Antec PS, 96 GB SSD OS drive, and 1 TB WD HDD for storage.
