3.0 out of 5 stars It was fun for a day.
The sound broke on this the first day. The front scanning light still works and is the best part. I wish this was a better toy, but for the price it's not bad. I also didn't notice the battery they hid in the package.

There were several toys and things done through out the show's airing on tv. There were even lunch boxes done for kids.
Fast forward to the year 2009. I would like to say that I wish they had made the other car from the show named "Karr." But, they didn't. Oh well. I don't really care either way. Kitt was an excellent car and could jump, talk, and when Michael was in trouble, come to his rescue. This car doesn't come with the com-link, nor a Michael Knight figure but, you wil get hours of fun out of this car. No trickey things to do. The car takes four double A's, and for the remote control, it takes one 9 volt battery. YOu can get Kitt to speak from the remote control, or the car itself because there is a button on the car that will make him speak as well. The original voice of William Danniels is heard. There are lights on the car. Just your basic head lights, and the scanner light that would go back and forth. Plus you have the soound of the scanner light that goes back and forth on the car. I bought this car for myself and my two kids love it. My son who is a year old loves the lights on it. My five year old step son wants one so I promised him I would try to get him one. Great job Hatari!!!!! I hope more Knight Rider stuff comes out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sharing long ago memories with my grandson, January 16, 2009
This review is from: HITARI R/C KNIGHT RIDER K.I.T.T 1:15 SCALE NEW (Electronics)
My grandson, age 7 loves his Knight Rider Remote Control Car. His
dad, before him, at the same age received a Knight Rider also. It brought
back old memories for him and created new ones with his son. High
quality and durable.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Flight in to the Shadowy Past...., October 5, 2011

First things first...I'm 42, I'm an eternal "toy-r-us" kid and I am a major tech geek, that being said, since the '80's I have been a huge fan on the Knight Rider series (and Airwolf respectively) When I saw this 1/15 scale RC recreation of the most memorable car on TV, I opened my wallet and ponied up the funds to get it. The body is as perfect as you can find on any KR KITT replica, the electronics are sound and the durability fantastic. Like the earlier posting, tail lights would have been the perfect touch to this RC car, but I will remedy that myself. Being a tinkerer, I have already replaced the Scanner with a better one, replaced the yellow driving lights with four bright white ones and printed a "KNIGHT" license plate on the back end :) Eventually in the coming weeks, I will be swapping out the electronics for a 2.4gh radio system (keeping the voice setup intact) The RC car is perfect for what it is and I will be getting two more of them. I recommend this for anyone who loves the show and RCs, and I really recommended this for anyone for anyone who loves to modify RCs

Like a kid again. Just like I remembered when I was little. As advertised, shipped, tracked and no issues. Car lasts long on AA batteries. Great quality for what you pay. I recommend it for any Knight Rider fan who wants an R/C version. Only one downside, it only says one phrase. Very kewl.

5.0 out of 5 stars zooming back into childhood.., June 4, 2011
This review is from: HITARI R/C KNIGHT RIDER K.I.T.T 1:15 SCALE NEW (Electronics)
being an incurable fan of the series and a real-life F-body freak i want to add my 2 cents to the rest of the happy reviews:
i couldnt resist having back a radio controlled KITT after my battery-operated KITT was left next to the chimney on a cold winter night and i woke up the next day to see a flake of melted plastic instead, 25 years ago.
i'm 32 and i still got a huge amount of fun 'driving' this beautiful toy around the house. the engine does go
fast and the steering crisp and immediate. the scanner light is awesome, i just wish the headlights would go up but at least the foglights are there and working. there are no rear lights (could have been a great added detail and like every molded plastic toy, doors, hood, and t-tops are non movable). i dont use the voice effects (too noisy) but they're a nice touch. the detailing of KITT's aggressive nose is what made me buy it and ship it all the way to lebanon. the car looks amazing, drives fast and for me, holds sentimental value beyond the 109$ total (toy price: 36$, overseas shipping: 48$, customs tax: 25$) that i had to fork out for it.
Boys will stay boys (:
