The only caveat here is the usual one for the era, our author really hates the Indians, and it's obvious. Buy it for genealogical use, for a good account of "The Angel of Hadley," or for history from the point of view of Hadley folks. It really is good. And it's beautiful. It will grace any bookshelf. |
