I wanted to give it a 4 1/2 but the site wouldn't let me. This is such a great vacuum because it is so maneuverable and can get under and around places so easily, even hard to reach areas. It has a setting for floors so that the brush doesn't rotate. It is powerful and does a thorough job. I do my whole 1200 square foot house with it, but since the filter is small, I empty it when I'm done. It has some drawbacks.

1. One of the cord windup hooks broke so now the cord is difficult to wind. I just wrap it around the vacuum.
2. The cord could be just a couple feet longer.
3. You have to position it just right if you want to stand it upright. Sometimes it's fallen over (No big deal though).

I purchased this little sweeper to do quick clean ups of cat litter on my kitchen floor. I couldn't be more happy with the look, feel, and ease of use. It is compact. It stands straight up and fits snugly between my wall and the refrigerator. It picks up the cat litter and not one little piece gets missed or blown back, like others I've tried. The head swivels to get around easily and the suction is enough to even get the little bits out of the corners.
It lays down quite flat to go under my bookcase, table, chairs, etc..
With the touch of a switch on top of the machine, I can I can go over my kitchen area rugs and, again, no kick back of litter off the rug. it has a roller brush and does a better job on cat fur than my big vacuum!
Dumping the dirt cup is messy, but I wouldn't trade it for buying bags and hassling with that.
It is not the quietest thing in the world, but I don't care about that. It works great and I am sooo happy with my "always clean" kitchen floors and my new Hoover Flair :)!!

I bought this vacumm due to all of the cordless vacuums I have purchased died and/or left with so little power they would not pick up a cotton ball. I decided to get a vacumm with a power cord to alleviate this prior problem with cordless vacuums. I am soooooo happy with my new corded Hoover (S2220). I have a small condo with woodfloors and throw rugs all over. This vacumm has 2 settings to cover my needs and is super light, easy to use and the sound volume is not too loud (which was also a problem with my other cordless vacuums). I have not had a single problem and is the best vacuum for my needs I have ever purchased!!!!

This vacuum cleaner is worthless. You can only vacuum one average sized room or perhaps two if you are lucky, before the motor heats up. At that point the spinning bristles at the bottom of the vacuum cleaner stops spinning. Then you have to wait about 15 mins for the motor to cool down before you can use it again.

Actually I am writing this review while I am waiting for the motor to cool down. All I did was vacuum my living room and a hall way (about 7 mins worth of vacuuming) and it's already overheated. Hopefully by the time this review is written, it will be cooled down enough for me to vacuum my bedroom.

For a small apartment, this would have been an ideal vacuum, since it does pack enough suction power to pick up all the dirt into a very small package. Too bad though about the constant overheating. I wouldn't recommend purchasing this.

This is the best vacuum cleaner ever! Our whole house is hardwood and tile (alot of floor) and this vacuum just zips all over the place and reaches those hard to reach places. It is lightweight and not that loud.

Piece of garbage and broke several months after buying. I didn't even bother trying to get a refund. It looks pretty and was convenient for a while, but the quality is crap. Buy a broom instead of this.

It gets hot and smells like its going to catch on fire while vacuuming and recently while using the swivel head to clean around a corner, the plastic head broke off, not repairable

This Hoover product is pretty good. The noise level is not that loud and it picks up dust and other little particles. Works well and a cool color.
