I've had this cd for a while..the first moment i heard her music i was hooked..i've been waiting for the major label debut via Atlantic rec. i don't know what's taking so long...I'm glad that she's getting major exposure do to her song being in and on the soudtrack to Tyler Perry's WHY DID I GET MARRIED .....artist comparisons Corrine Bailey rae and Maria(cd-my soul) check it out..

How Miss Shorter has escaped public notice I'll never know. She has one of purest and subtly powerful voices of any contemporary vocalist I've ever heard, bar none. This is a must listen.

i remember more than 3-4 years ago i would listen to her tracks on myspace as a local artist and thought how good her voice was. I purchased it right away and when i first heard it on "step up" i was freaking out

Discovered the song "Who Am I to Say" at the very end of the movie (soundtrack to) "Cover", and only a very short portion of the song was played. Have to be honest,it could have been the worst movie ever created (it wasn't) and I would sit through it all over again to find this song and artist. I can't believe I had never heard of her...
