The HRAP N3-SA is exactly what I've been looking for (I now have to wait for it go down in price again so I can pick up a second one)!
MInus a cheap 3rd party fightstick that I owned for the Dreamcast (for MvsC2), this is my only other fightstick I've ever purchased.
I'm using this on my PC for SSFIV, MK9, and emulators/mame and so far it's performed flawlessly - just plug and play in Win7.

Tip for noobs like me: There is a switch with "DP, LS, RS." This is so that the joystick can emulate either the D-pad, Left stick, or Right stick on the PS3 controller. You might have to change this switch dependent on the game. I started up SSFIV first and tried to config it, but only the buttons were assignable. I couldn't assign the joystick until I changed the DP, LS, RS switch.

+Arcade quality Sanwa joystick and buttons, sensitive enough for quick taps
+moddable and can change out parts easily
+Hefty weight doesn't move around on my lap, bottom is metal
+Works great in SSFIV, MK9, emu and mame
+door cover for Start button, so that one doesn't accidentally presses it
+groves on the bottom/sides to grab onto the fightstick to move it

Small minuses
-top is glossy and attracts dust and fingerprints
-USB cable not that long (just pick up a USB extension cable if need be)
-flimsy door for USB cable compartment (afraid it might break)
-flimsy door for Start button (afraid it might break)

Personal preferences:
+I like the Noir/Astro/Sega button layout as opposed to the Vewlix layout
+simple design and color scheme - not "busy" with graphics etc.
-this has a square gate. I've never owned a fightstick that I can mod, but I want to try the Octogon and Circle gates as well.

My first stick and i'm extremely impressed! I wasn't sure if I wanted to go the Arcade Stick route and use this for fighting games like umvc3/ssf4 or some arcade games but after opening this up and playing around with it for a few hours I can already see the appeal.

I did some research and looked up many different sticks and this one stuck out due to the quality parts, size, and design. It's gonna take some time to get the hang of using this over a pad but I love how responsive the stick and buttons are. It has a lot of room for my wrists to rest on and it plants itself pretty good(heavy!) in my lap.

Great product! After getting 2 close friends who use pads different arcade sticks(because it's no fun if they're all the same) I feel that this may stand out on top :)

EDIT(3 weeks later): Still love the stick. I'm pretty much at the same skill level I was at the pad after playing frequently each week. Do not expect this to work on a PS4. I made two seperate attempts and it didn't work. It does however work just fine on PC.

The power of the gods in the palm of my hands. It was all for an affordable price that cannot be matched anywhere else ($119.00 at time of purchase 02/15/14). If you are looking for a Fightstick that gives you the best in design, functionality, and price, this is it.
In my opinion, it's far superior than the V3-SA. It fits comfortably on my lap. The button layout is PERFECT for my hand, (The width span of my hand is 7.5" ) and my pinky rest right in the middle of the four L and R buttons. I can do without the angled edge because lets be honest, your hands are flailing all over the place in the heat of battle. Handy grips? Like I really need the extra grip to carry my joystick around. Correction. Carry my fight stick around. I love the hidden START switch. Every time I open the cover flap, I envision my self pressing the Doomsday button. I can also do without the light show of the Fighting Edge. The real show is on my T.V. screen if I'm not mistaken. I don't need an LED rave going on at my fingertips.
Overall, this is great a purchase for the smart shopper!

This is an outstanding product, which is to be expected from Hori.

Full Sanwa with an 8-way gate, 8 30mm buttons and a 24mm for the pause.

I bought to use for Street Fighter 4 on PC, it does everything I want it to

I bought this to replace my madcatz TE stick that was broken, and I was very impressed by how this stick feels. I will not really go much into how great the stick is because for the price, it is worth it, but I will compare it to the Madcatz TE stick. The joystick on the HRAP3 is so much lighter, where as the Madcatz TE joystick is a bit stiffer. The buttons pretty much felt the same and the layout on the Madcatz stick for the start and select is better in my own opinion. If you want a stiffer joystick, go with the Madcatz TE stick, if you want something a little more nimble, get the HRAP3.

I am extremely happy with this stick. The only downside is it's a finger print and scratch magnet. The layout is great, stick and buttons are very responsive, and size/weight are good for playing with it in your lap. There is slide to cover the start button to prevent accidental presses and compartment to store the cord in when not in use. Overall it is a great product and I would recommend it to players of fight games no matter their level of commitment.
