So far we really like this., October 29, 2009
This review is from: 2010 HORIZONS AOP (Alpha Omega), PRESCHOOL, PRE K KINDERGARTEN HOMESCHOOLING CURRICULUM SET (Paperback)
So far this is really good. I am a first time home schooler so this is my first curriculum and it really makes homeschooling fun for both of us. I plan to use this with all my kids. I love how it focuses on God and teaching them His word. So far my son has been keeping up with the memory verses it has him learn. I do recommend this.

Excellent Preschool curriculum, July 26, 2011
This review is from: 2010 HORIZONS AOP (Alpha Omega), PRESCHOOL, PRE K KINDERGARTEN HOMESCHOOLING CURRICULUM SET (Paperback)
If you are looking for a complete preschool curriculum for your child, look no further. This curriculum is exceptional! By the end of the curriculum your child will know all the alphabet and the sound each letter makes, will make blended sounds, be able to count to 12 but most can count to 20 or more, sound out three letter words, tell time to the hour, will have memorized several scripture verses, and have a love for learning! In addition, this curriculum takes you through each day of creation and includes a lot of hands on activities for little ones to stay engaged. I can't say enough about how great this curriculum is!

This is such a great curriculum but..., September 28, 2011

This is an amazing program. I LOVE everything about it. My only issue with this is that, in my opinion, it's not meant for pre-k (4 years and older). I was debating on putting my son in private school or home schooling him myself. I decided to home school. I read and searched for as much info as possible before buying anything. Since my son was going into pre-K (he is 4.5) if I placed him in public or private school, I decided that's what I would be looking for. I'm new to home schooling and am coming to realize this is not always the case. The Bible, Social Studies and crafts in this curriculum are, for the most part, the only things that are new to him. This is full of so many amazing fun activities. Now that I have looked through it, it is clearly meant for an average 3.5 and younger group. If you can get a hold of the Scope and Sequence to see what is covered, in comparison to what your little one knows, I would highly recommend it! I wish with all my heart I would have made the decision to home school earlier. This is so much fun and it lays an amazing christian foundation down. I have a younger son who's 16 months. With out a doubt I will be using this once he turns 2.5.
Also another mistake I made was I purchase this without the media kit/set. Even if your little one does know most of the curriculum material, don't pass on the DVDs and CDs in this set. They are so great. My son and I love the Character Builders Series especially. This series has great story lines that cover: obedience, self control, honesty, responsibility, sharing, kindness, confidence, love, goodness, faith, thankfulness, gentleness, politeness, joy, patience, and peace. I hope this helps anyone thinking of purchasing this program.
