This UV filter seems to have a lot (!!!) more glare than the higher priced Hoya UV filters (which literally appear to have no glass in them!)

However, this was inexpensive and it will certainly protect as well as an expensive filter. (I wish I could have found the Hoya pro model of the same size.)

Panasonic does not say what size filter can be attached to the lens of my FZ18 camera. They have their own filter but at a much higher price. This filter seems to do the job and seems well made. Pictures shot at 18X don't seem to loose much definition.Colors appear warmer. Now I have protection for my Leica Lens. Excellent price too.

It is a good bargain. The filter protects the camera's lens and approves pictures quality in bright light and sunny days.

This is a great little filter for the price and you won't be disappointed with its performance.

Not all of us are serious professionals and the differences between a $100 and a $5 filter well to us amateurs is $95.

Get the protection and not the hole in your wallet.

Everyone should have this UV filter. It saves from scratches and you don't have to worry about your lens all the time getting damaged or dusty.
