This cartridge prints extremely sharp color pictures, especially when using photo quality paper. I've had some pictures I scanned in with my HP 6200 and then printed on an HP 895 CSE that people couldn't believe were photographic enlargements!

The only issue is that the cartridge doesn't last long printing pictures!

I'm glad I read the previous review of the HP 23 color cartridge. I had just put in a new color cartridge in my trusty HP OfficeJet T45 only to find that it would no longer print yellow. I tried a spare HP 23 color cartridge - same result. Color photos came out maroon or blue. Since I was getting the exact same result from two never-used color cartridges, I concluded that I was going to be shopping for a new color printer.

Then I read the review about checking the expiration date on the back of the cartridge box. I had bought several HP 23 color cartridges some years back and never used them. When I checked their expiration dates, all but one were at least a year past their expiration dates. Fortunately I had one color cartridge left that was still good, so I installed it and tried it. Voila! It printed fine.

This will teach me to avoid stocking up on color cartridges on the assumption that they'll last forever. At about $35 a pop, I was out over $100 in color cartridges. Too bad HP can't find some way of prolonging their yellow pigments. I hated to throw out three never-used color inkjet cartridges, but better that than buying a new printer.

My trusty HP DeskJet 712C has chugged along for three years using HP cartridges. When I switched to a competing brand for the Black cartridge, I saw a sudden drop in quality -- especially in the first few days of use.

I appreciate the fact that, unlike some manufacturers, HP separates the Black from the Color cartridge. Rarely, if ever, do they both run out at the same time.

Be sure to note the expiration date on the back. One batch that I purchased at a suspiciously good price had expired over a year before and just wouldn't print at all.

This has been the worst purchase I have ever made on Amazon. The cartridge had no yellow ink. I took it to Costco for inspection and I was told the three ink color bins were contaminated and I should return it. I did not as it would cost me more to return it than it was worth. I will never buy from this comapany again and will only buy new HP23 cartridges from a qualified seller like Costco.

It's a waste of money to buy refill ink cartridges. I've had nothing but problems in the past with refills. Reliability is the name of the game and the Tri-Color Ink Cartridge is the answer.

Seller (dignabonilla) won't respond to emails and never sent the product. Need to stop payment.

The cartridge I received from Sophia Global was 20 months past the "install by" date. The packaging was intact, but it looked like it had been around for a while. Beware of this seller.

I will not buy another product from Amazon.com until I get refunded the money I paid for a product I never received. I did receive the cartridge, but it was more than a year old and only printed shades of red. Infinite surplus told me they will refund my money, but I never got the refund and it's been many, many months. I have written numerous emails to Amazon.com as well as Infinite surplus to no avail. I would place a BIG red flag on doing business with Amazon/Infinite. I have got NO response from either of them.

As advertised, the ink cartridge was "new in the box." What was not said, however, was the expiration date was 2004. Thus the cartridge was not usable. Money down the drain! Even 1 star is a stretch.

If you are tiring of using re-cycled/re-manufactured cartridge. You might want to buy this from Amazon. Especially with the free shipping. Another plus, the cartridge expiration date is in April 2009. This particular model HP 23 are hard to find at the local stores.
