If you want a great all-in-one printer at the best possible price this is the choice!!! Did you know the PSC 2350 is the Internet Retailer version of the PSC 2355 which is sold in stores? Buy the 2350 and save yourself some money. You will love this product. It has a LCD screen so you can see your photos before you print. The photo quality is awesome. Scanning and...

4.0 out of 5 stars Alot of bang for the buck, August 19, 2005
This review is from: HP PSC 2350 All-in-One Printer, Scanner, Copier (Office Product)
Whne my husband went to the store for a printer, I felt reasonably comfortable allowing him to shop alone. When he brought home an all-in-one printer, scanner, and copier, I began to wonder if I should have accompanied him! (The machine is somewhat large, and our office is somewhat small!)

BUT I happily report to you that hubby done good. While I have not used all of the features (I have not yet printed photos straight from my camera), the ones I have used so far have performed admirably. The copy feature is especially impressive, rendering quick, clear copies. The printer function is quick and quiet, and the software you install to set up the hardware is remarkably easy to use.

For so many features, I would have expected to pay more for this machine than the sticker price. Allin all, I think it's a deal. We haven't had a moment's trouble with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars I absolutely adore this printer..., July 25, 2005
This review is from: HP PSC 2350 All-in-One Printer, Scanner, Copier (Office Product)
I ahve had this printer for a little under 1 year and I use every option on it..the printer is wonderful, i have a 13 motnh old son and i am constantly printing pictures of him for his baby book, friends and family and just to display on our walls, the pictures come out very clear with beautiful color. Also, the copier is very speedy and precise. We have had to make many copys of different documents and everything works like a office supply room copier. Also, one of the other reviews metioned that he is unable to scan different photos into different files, my husband set up the printer so i'm not sure about those instructins and if something is wrong in the instructions, but ours works fine, I can put about 3-4 pictures in the scanner and scan them into diffent files. You have to complete scan each one though, not as a whole document. I'm not sureif thats what he is referring to, but everything seems to work fine for me and i am constantly using the printer, it is great quality and it's worth it's money.

I was really hoping this printer would work well, but unfortunately, I cannot recommend this printer. When you follow the directions to have the scanner detect multiple pictures and save as multiple files it doesn't work. I've followed all the directions very carefully and the settings are set correctly. I first tried phone support and it was obvious that the person I talked with didn't understand the feature. I then tried online chat and at first the person didn't understand the feature. I asked for a supervisor and the supervisor told me the feature is not available. I then cut and paste the documentation from hp about the printer and also the directions on how to set it up. Then the supervisor told me that unfortunately the documentation is wrong!! The feature I need is to have the scanner detect multiple pictures and have them saved as multiple files. HP's documentation:

"To scan multiple pictures

1 Double-click the HP Director icon. Or, on the taskbar, click Start, point to Programs or All Programs, point to HP, and then click HP Director.

2 When the HP Director opens, make sure that your HP scanning device is selected in the Select Device list.

3 On the Settings menu, point to Scan Settings & Preferences, and then click Button Settings. The Button Settings dialog box, which has a tab for each configurable button, opens.

4 Click the tab that corresponds to the button you want to set for multiple picture scanning.

5 Ensure that What are you scanning? is set to Picture.

6 Click Modify Scan Picture Settings. The Scan Picture Settings dialog box opens.

7 Click the Preferences tab.

8 Click the scan multiple pictures check box.

Note The exact wording of this check box is specific to the HP scanning device that you are using.

9 Click OK to save the scan picture settings for that button.

10 Click OK to save the button settings.

Now when you scan a picture by using that particular button, the scanner can detect multiple images and save them as separate files.

"

The last paragraph makes it pretty clear that this is a supported feature of the scanner.

More info: I found a slight work around by having the output source be HP Image Zone instead of "Save as file". However, this also falls apart when you choose to "continue scanning". When you do that, it then proceeds to only save one of the scanned pictures and ignores the other ones put on the glass!

If you know fixes, please post! If you are HP reading this, please help. I couldn't get help over the phone or from hp chat support.

-Eric
