This is a calculus text, not an HP48 tutorial or manual.,
By Michael E. Wright "professional scientist & e... (Silicon Valley, CA, USA, proud to be an American) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)
This review is from: HP-48G/GX INVESTIGATIONS in MATHEMATICS (Paperback)
This may or may not be a good text book, starting at the calculus level. As HP no longer sells copies of its HP48/S manual, I had hoped that this book would be heavy on HP48 usage along with the calculus. I found that this is not the case; this is firstly a text book, and light on HP48 general operation. Also note that the included software is incomplete in the sense that one must purchase the HP option package with cable and PC communication software. (As there are easy to find descriptions of how to rig your own cable on line, I had assumed that the book's software would stand alone. One can still manually enter all the HP48 programs.)

This is the book you have to buy if you want to know how to operate with mathematic functions with the HP48. It is really a great book and it worth every cent you will spend on it.
