Genuine HP Replacement Part,

I was looking for a replacement charger for my DV9000 when it died on me...but could only find knock offs with poor reviews for cheap. I really didn't want to spend a ton on a replacement, as most genuine parts cost 4x or more as generics. When I saw this one for a reasonable price...I went for it, and I was pleasantly surprised to see retail HP packaging. Not only that, but generics tend to run at 18.5v, rather than HPs unit, which is at 19v. The adapter works great and build quality seems fine. I would recommend to spend a little more and get this adapter, rather than a cheap Chinese generic model that has reliability and voltage issues.
UPDATE 04/02/2010 - Unit is still working without any issues.

This cord works with my HP Pavilion dv6000. After my kids playing with the cord and tripping over it umpteen times, it became loose and I needed to replace it fast. Best Buy wanted $80 for it. I don't think so! I always check Amazon for comparison shopping. They always come through.

Bad,
Overall design does not seem durable. Broke within a month no surface damage on any of the cabling, must have a bad connection with the wires. Other power adapters work fine.
