At just over 12 pounds, the HP DeskJet 930C color ink-jet printer has a businesslike exterior. Documents print in a crisp, high-resolution 2,400 by 1,200 dpi in color and 600 dpi in black. The HP 930C manages a variety of papers, including plain and special papers up to 8.5 by 14 inches, as well as envelopes, transparencies, and banners, all at a swift 9 pages per minute for black and 7.5 pages per minute for color. Drawing upon HP's ColorSmart III technology, the printer layers colors in precise ink drops, yielding photo-quality prints and crisp, sharp black text.
The Hewlett-Packard DeskJet 930C color ink-jet printer has a 4 MB memory and is compatible with MS-DOS, Windows 3.1x, 95, 98, NT 4.0, 2000 Professional, and Macintosh OS 8.1 or later. I bought this printer in 2000 and it still works great. It's not very fast, but the print quality is very good.

A durable printer,

Bought this printer about 8 years ago and it has been giving me sterling service. I use us mainly for black and white documents -- articles and worksheets for my students. The tricolour cartridge has long dried out but the printer still works fine as long as the cartridge is in place. I have read some reviews stating that this printer will not work if one of the cartridges is empty, but for me this has not been the case. This printer has never failed me, working very well with 3 or 4 different computers that I owned and now own. The paper feed sometimes does not work as it should, taking up more than one sheet especially if the sheets are less than 80 gsm. The cartridges are expensive but I have managed to source on the internet reasonably priced compatibles.

I just ordered the 930c after extensive search over the internet. The mere fact that I once used this in my office convinced me that this is the printer I need for my personal use at home or even in an office setting. I already tested this for printing color photos and completely satisfied. No need for any disc to install. I only used the USB strtaight to my laptop and works instantly. I just don't know what year this was made.
