When I was looking into ordering this item, I used the Amazon "will this work with your printer" tool. While the Amazon tool said these inks would not work with my Officejet 7210 All-in-One, some research online led me to believe that this ink would work with my printer (even with it being vivera ink).

This isn't a slam against Amazon, as I know that innocent mistakes are bound to happen when a company tries to list the compatibility of inks with almost all printers. Nonetheless, I wanted to let fellow 7210 owners know that on the side of the ink box, the 7210 is specifically listed as compatible (and indeed, when I installed the inks into my 7210, the printer loaded right up and printed perfectly).

If you are wondering if this ink is right for you, I would suggest you make note of the "96/97" ink numbers seen in the product image, and go to HP's website. On their site you can find the model number of your printer, as well as what "number" inks should work with it.

Better packaging, cheaper than buying separately, HP- quality, and delivery in just a few days... anything better than that?

This is the second time I have purchased HP 96/97 Twin Pack Inkjet Cartridges from Infinite-Surplus, through Amazon. I have always been satisfied with their prompt service, excellent quality, and terrific prices. Purchasing Inkjet Cartridges through Amazon, or one of it's member companies is far more cost effective, and offers better service than any retail store or membership warehouse.

Unelss you want to risk the generic cartridges - with which I have had horrible experiences - you have to go with these. They work great.

I never got the product. There was a shipping problem that was not J&R's fault. However, J&R refused to work with me and UPS to rectify the problem. J&R's customer service failed miserably. Amazon's A-to-Z Guarantee stepped up to the plate and did a great job where J&R failed. Way to restore my faith Amazon.

Price was 35% lower than local store. Shipping was free and fast. Item was new (expiration date 2 years in the future) and genuine HP quality. I can't imagine buying ink any other way. Perfect!

The little compatibility window is wrong. This is the high capacity combo for the Officejet 7310 All-in-one.

If your printer requires #97 / 96 cartridges, this is an excellent first pack to purchase - color and black all in one box. The strange thing about this pack, the color ink will probably last twice as long as the black ink (assuming you print mostly documents, not full color images). The better deal is to stay ahead of the game with the single ink twin packs: HP 97 Tri-color Twin Pack Ink Cartridge (C9349FN#140), and HP 96 Twinpack Black Inkjet Print Cartridge with Vivera Ink (C9348FN#140). I always like to have a spare cartridge on hand, not because they have little printing capacity, but because I never like to be caught with my pants down and no ink to print.

I've had two HP printers over the past four years that both used this cartridge, and have had no problems with printing using HP cartridges. The #97 is the larger volume counterpart to the 95 cartridge. Paired with a 96 extra volume black cartridge (HP 96 Twin pack Black Inkjet Print Cartridge with Vivera Ink (C9348FN#140)), I get a decent page count out of this printer.

Although not fabulous, but acceptable for printing photographs, the 99 cartridge paired with this one does a reasonable job. 99 is not easy to find in stores: HP 99 Photo Ink Cartridge in Retail Packaging (C9369WN#140).

If I'm not in a hurry and printing on inexpensive paper, I usually ignore the flashing front panel low ink lights and wait until the one of the colors doesn't print anymore. That maximizes ink usage from these cartridges. If the printer stops printing because the lights are on solid or the software refuses to print, simply remove both cartridges and replace them - you've now reset the ink level sensor.

Compared to Lexmark, HP ink is less expensive. I think HP and Epson are pretty well matched on ink cost.
