Not all papers are created equal. Designed with each element of the HP printing process in mind, HP papers, toners, and inks are specially engineered to work together to deliver quality, reliable printing, as well as fade resistance, bolder blacks and more vibrant colors.
Because HP papers are specifically formulated to work with HP printers, it's important to select the right HP paper for every job to ensure a crisp, clean finished product.
Check the label on HP paper packaging to find this key information:
Consider the look you want to achieve, and choose a finish that fits your needs:
The brightness of your paper refers to the amount of light reflected from the surface of the paper, and is typically measured on a scale from 1 to 100. Print on brighter paper, such as HP Bright White Inkjet Paper, for higher contrast, crisper text, and a clean background for more vivid images.
Thickness (measured in millimeters) and weight (measured in pounds), refer to the sturdiness and crease-resistance of your paper. HP paper comes in a variety of different weights.
You may try using a heavier paper for artwork or pieces that will be frequently handled, like cards or brochures. Heavier paper can also help formal, more substantial printed pieces, such as resumes and invitations, stand out from the crowd.

HP offers many kinds of paper in a variety of sizes, from standard 8.5" x 11" paper, to 4" x 6" and 5" x 7" photo paper, to specialty sizes such as wide format and legal paper.
Not all printers can handle all kinds of paper, so before stocking up, check your printer manual for paper size and weight capabilities.
Whether printing driving directions, invoices, snapshots for the fridge, or formal wedding invitations, HP has the paper you need to get the job done.
For basic home and office printing, a simple, multipurpose paper is your best bet. Many HP multipurpose papers now feature ColorLok technology for more vibrant colors, bolder blacks, and fewer smears. Engineered with special additives that chemically react with inkjet inks, ColorLok paper absorbs ink deeper into the paper while holding the pigment closer to the surface, delivering impeccable print quality every time.

The best for a HP Inkjet printer,

If you have a Hewlett Packard Inkjet Printer, this is the best paper to get. I'm a college student and I've had to do a lot of reports and this is the paper that I use. It doesn't tear or get bent too easily like many other brands of printing paper are known to do. And at 500 sheets, it's a good buy for that price cause you won't have to buy any more for a long time. Bottom line, if your printer is a Hewlett Packard Inkjet one, this is the printing paper you need.

Great for final reports and presentations. Best uncoated inkjet printer paper I've found where you desire to keep the tactile feel of "normal" paper. I've tried most kinds, including 100% cotton, presentation papers, and other brands of inkjet papers ranging from Kodak to Georgia-Pacific to Weyerhauser. Printouts appear sharp and colour images fairly good, though it's obvious that coated stock makes for brighter colours in pictures. Black text appears almost the same on this paper as it does on the HP coated paper, so use this one and save money (and you can print on both sides). Because this is uncoated paper, it doesn't have that chalky fingernail-on-chalkboard feeling that the coated papers have. This is an important point when you have to give presentations where people will handle the papers. It has a thick luxiourious feel for 24# stock and doesn't suffer print-through. Upon testing with some generic ink refills, this paper holds up well to some of the thinner generic inks that might bleed through on other papers. The older HP paper stock was 96 bright, then HP improved it to 106 brightness and the most current incarnation of this paper is at 108+ brightness.

Wow! This is great paper!,

I love this paper! It is certainly bright white. While the brightness is too much contrast and shiny-ness for me to preach from, it's brilliantly wonderful for anything else. What I really like about it, though, is its thickness - it isn't an easily rippable, cheap paper. You can abuse these pages a bit, and they won't go mashugga on you. And being designed by HP for their printers, of course the ink hits the page and sticks there without bleeding, smearing, running, or anything else. Of all the papers (copier paper, other inkjet paper, letterhead, etc.) I have run through my photosmart printer, apart from the premium photo paper, this is the best. By far. If you have an HP inkjet, you have to be using this paper. And truth to tell, you can print a photo on it, too, and it will look pretty darn good.
