Print Beautiful Photos...and more!,
By
This review is from: HP Model C6578DN No. 78 Tri-Color Inkjet Cartridge (Office Product)
I have an HP Photo Deskjet which uses this cartridge. It is fast, prints nice photos as well as cards, banners, etc., and lasts longer than other cartridges I have used with other printers.* No clogging problems. * I haven't had any smearing. * Easy to install. * Refill kits are available. It is a good cartridge...and the best price I have found is on Amazon.

HP 78 INKJET Cartridges (C6578DN),
By
This review is from: HP Model C6578DN No. 78 Tri-Color Inkjet Cartridge (Office Product)
I ordered two of these cartridges. They came in old worn beat up boxes (with the correct HP designation, however).Neither one worked. At first I thought they were re-manufactured or bootleg, but now I suspect they were just used cartridges that they put closures on and tried to pass off as new. I'll never again order these from Amazon and it makes me question if it's worth doing business with Amazon ar all.The order was fulfilled by Quantum Electronics. Stay away from them !

Don't get image wet or let cartridge jets dry out..,
By Victor H. Agresti "remodeling-guy" (Gaithersburg, MD United States) - See all my reviews (TOP 100 REVIEWER) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: HP Model C6578DN No. 78 Tri-Color Inkjet Cartridge (Office Product)
HP Model C6578DN No. 78 Tricolor Inkjet CartridgeThis cartridge produces excellent color images, with realistic colors and accurate representation. On the negative side, getting an image wet can result in serious smudges. Also, unless used regularly, the cartridge's tiny jets eventually dry out and clog, blocking either cyan, magenta, and/or yellow. The result is similar to one of the inks running out, in that images are missing a color or two. If you think the jets might be clogged, remove the cartridge from the printer, dampen a paper towel with alcohol and thoroughly swab the cartridge jets, then vigorously shake the cartridge for a few seconds. That usually brings it back to life, but once alcohol is needed, it will probably dry out again, in a few days. Printing something in color once a couple of times per week helps to keep the jets clear.
