I have had this printer for about 18 months and it has been such a hassle! It finally quit on me with an error of " ink system failure". The printer is loud, slow and very ink thirsty! You have to buy 4 different ink cartridges each time you replace. Beware...

In classic HP form, this printer was designed to drink ink by the gallon. HP is making a fortune from selling ink for this one. At least one of the 5 separate cartridges needs to be replaced almost every time I use it... and they aren't cheap! Please don't buy this printer, I am warning you. You will be so dissatisfied!!!

I purchased this for my daughter who has no experience using a printer and wanted to print photos. Having previously had this printer myself I knew it would work well for her and it has. Nicest part is you can print from camera memory stick and then save directly to the computer from the printer. We are very happy with this product and our experience purchasing from Amazon.

I have had this printer for 2 years and would not recommend it to anyone that doesn't print very many photos. It takes up SO much ink when printing colored documents and I often find that if all colored ink are not at 85% full and above that the color terrible. I wish I would have returned it.

I have the Linux operating system, Ubuntu 10.04 I believe. This HP printer works for that system and thats good enough for me. It's great to have an all-in-one that operates without any problems on linux.

The printer makes all the noises that the other reviewers have probably said it does, but it gets the job done.

The setup was very simple.

I also know that its a durable machine, because the USPS demolished the box during transport - and it still worked perfectly.

This was purchased for our new Graphic Artist. She is very pleased with the quality and speed of this desktop printer.

I have nothing to add to other reviews on the printer, but shipping caused me a lot of grief. The printer was a week late. The delivery was left on my front porch on its side; I dsicovered why when I picked it up and found a huge hole. The printer, of course, was damaged. The seller offered to make good on it, but the procedure was infuriatingly slow, especially since I needed the printer for a job. I did not need the argument between Fedex and the seller over who was responsible.
