Good service---and a good product.

It's almost cheaper to watch the sales and buy a good discounted new Laserjet printer with a cartridge in it, than it is to get a new cartridge.
John D. Hillmer
NOTHING about this item is HP and this listing is completely false and misleading.

I'm on my second HP (OEM) original 85A (CE285A) cartridge, and the print quality I'm getting from it in my HP Laserjet P1102W is great. No complaints about it working, fitting, good quality toner. I'm running Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit, and this thing works with that set up. I'm also using it with several WinXP Pro PCs, one an IBM Thinkpad, and the others are DELL PCs and DELL laptops.

But come on HP! Your price for this, and it only gets about 1600 pages, that is awful. It's almost cheaper to watch the sales and buy a good discounted new Laserjet printer with a cartridge in it, than it is to get a new cartridge. I've never tried refilling mine toner cartridges in this printer of other ones that I have, and I always buy the OEM ones on sale, but this price for 1600 pages is just robbery.

We expected this toner cartridge to last longer than 2 months. Very low page count, toner ran out very fast. Printer failed to recognize it as an original HP-made cartridge, even though that's what we thought we bought. Buyer beware.

I did more research and found that HP is having serious supply issues with this 85A toner.
I do not feel this toner is a good value, no matter how cheap the HP printer is/was. HP needs to extend the life of the cartridge (higher page output) or lower the price.

This cartridge is only rated for 1600 pages at $63.07 each!!!!!! My brother toner cartridge costs $64.49 and yields 5,000 pages. HP needs to lower the price!

I ordered the HP OEM laser toner cartridge, and it arrived promptly. However, it arrived in an Awesome Toners box, not an HP box. That in itself was a tipoff. When I opened up the box, the cartridge itself had a blue label, identifying it as an HP cartridge, but did not have other HP markings. I called Awesome Toners, and they quickly admitted that no, the cartridge wasn't OEM; it was a refurb, and one of their trainees must have made a mistake...and yes, they'll take it back promptly. I subsequently received the following email:

"I sincerely apologize for any confusion or inconveniences we have caused you. We only sell "Non-oem/Compatible" parts and the product listing you found was an error of one of our trainees. Please know that the product was promptly deleted once it was brought to our attention.

"I've gone ahead and processed a return for you -- All of our products come with a 1 month return warranty so the return service label attached to this email is prepaid. If you could print, attach to the part and drop at your nearest UPS location I would greatly appreciate it. As soon as UPS scans the label provided I will be notified and then I'd be able to initiate a full refund of $57.45 to your account."

Folks...they have NOT taken the item down. I can imagine they simply try to sell refurbs to people, hoping that they won't notice, or won't care that they're paying top dollar for it. I hope I'm wrong about that one. Meanwhile, if you're seeking an honest-to-goodness HP toner cartridge, don't shop here. Good grief.

I was tempted to get the cheaper, 3rd party toner, until I found that it would void my warranty. The toner works fine - I just felt hosed when I paid for it. 60+ for 1200 prints? Come on, HP.

I bought the HP LasetJet P1102w through Amazon and it's very nice. The toner cartridge it came with lasted for about 700 pages, which was what I expected for the "starter" cartridge. I ordered the replacement cartridge, not too unhappy that about what I'd have to spend for the advertised 1600 page yield. However, the printer is now telling me the toner is low and the cartridge has printed just 800 pages. HUHHH????? Am I seriously expected to pay almost 14 cents a page to print on my home computer????? Unless someone can chime in that this is a serious anomaly, I can't recommend the P1102w just because of the ridiculous expense of the cartridges.

I was very excited to save money on toner with my new HP laser printer by buying this cartridge. It printed beautifully for the first few weeks, but soon started leaving a distinct vertical line of splotches running top to bottom on every print. Now we have to do all our important printing at the office until this toner runs out. Would not buy again, ever. I only give two stars because, hey, it does print, so I guess if you're just printing mapquest directions and not resumes or cover letters, then maybe you don't care if they look terrible.

Looks Like HP is going to make me buy their toner. Yes it cost a lot more however I wanted the printer to print. I think it was the firmware update that caused my generic toner to stop working. They really got ya by the short and curlies.
I will say this the ink is much darker then the generic that don't work.
