I bought a brand new HP 2175 all-in-one with two full new cartridges (56 and 57) for my daughter. She used the printer very little. After about a year the printer stopped working, with the message "remove and check cartridges". I tried cleaning the cartridges with alcohol but to no avail. My daughter was at school and didn't need the printer much so she just stopped using it. Now she brought it home and I tried fixing it again, to no avail. I know the cartridges are almost full. So then I started looking online and found a blog where someone said that the cartridges have a date on them, and that the cartridge expires on that date regardless of how much ink it contains. I looked and sure enough they have dates on them. I just called HP and their tech confirmed that this is true (it is to prevent people from refilling them).

I have been buying HP printers for a decade, but I think I've just bought my last one. If HP is going to terminate my cartridges even when they are full just because some date has gone by, that's the end of our relationship.

Even more amazing is that there is no acknowledgement of this "feature" on sellers' web sites or in stores. Buyer beware. The cartridge you buy may have already expired, or may have only a few days left on it. That'll be $50 right down the drain, fella. Unbelievable.

A great and economical replacement! This product saved me a lot of money. The red in the color leaked a tiny bit in shipment but cleaned up and worked with no problem.

I was disappointed with items when received. Unless I am mistaken, I was lead to believe these ink cartridges were New HP #56 and #57 cartridge combo's by the description and the posted picture. They are "compatible" cartridges by two different companies (not HP), and clearly state "remanufactured". The expiration dates were not visible. They seem to print OK but won't know how long they last till later. I feel the seller is aware it was a deceptive sale, and thus gave seller a two star rating. I'm willing to apologize if wrong.

I NEVER RECEIVED THIS PRODUCT BUT WAS CHARGED FOR IT ON MY CREDIT CARD. I'M UNIMPRESSED WITH THE SERVICE AND RESPONSE TO PROBLEMS. WILL THINK TWICE BEFORE ORDERING AGAIN.

While the service and shipping was fast, the product was not what I expected. I got the 56/57 combo pack which, when I received it, I noticed that the expiration on the package was May 2007. I contacted the seller and he responded quickly and said to give it a try, so I did. The black worked fine. I didn't need the tri-color right away. Well, now that I need to replace #57, I realize that cartridge is defective. The magenta and blue work fine, but now everything prints purple because the cyan is not right. That color line didn't even show up when the calibration page was printed right after loading the cartridge.

I will never purchase print cartridges again through this seller, and probably not any other online seller through Amazon, because you have no way of knowing until you have already opened the packaging whether it is old and dried out.

I have a HP PSC2210 All-in-one printer, which I bought new when they first came out; it's around 8 years old. A couple of years ago, HP apparently starting encoding 'expiration dates' into it's printer cartridges, which caused the printer to be stuck in an error message until the user replaced the ink with brand new (not refill) cartridges. At around $70 normal retail for the 56 & 57 cartridge pack, it seemed an exorbitant fee just for the privilege of having ink for printing. For someone like me, who doesn't print a whole lot, it is quite the gouge in my pocketbook for wasted ink.

DataBazaar has a great price for the exact product I need, and they filled my order quickly. The only suggestion I would have for them is for them to note somewhere how old the product is; actually, HP should print that on the boxes themselves!

The fact that my printer has lasted 8 years is commendable; however, this consumer gouging tactic guarantees that I will never buy another HP device again. DataBazaar has made it easier for me to continue using the printer I have until such time as I can get a different one.

well most of the time when I use amazon it has been great with no problem, but I was sent two black hp 56 not a combo pack that was disappointing.

i ordered ink for printer the price was very good
the blk did not print but was replaced promptly
