I ordered this from databazaar.com and everything on it's web page (product picture, numbers, product description) indicated new (authorized) original HP cartridge, not "used" or "remanufactured". I received a remanufactured generic "Ink Cartridge" (no brand name). I don't like remanufactured (it's too light/brown & runs). I wouldn't have spent so much money if I had known this is what I would get in place of the real HP product. Be sure you check that you're getting what you want!

Very disappointed with this product. Ink did not last through less than 50 copies.
HP ink is so expensive, but I have a Hewlet-Packard Printer and so I have no choice but to use HP Ink. I am thinking seriously about buying a new kind of printer; one whose ink is not so costly and the ink lasts longer.

The HP 96 is the same cartridge, but it holds more ink, and depending on the price you pay, is usually more economical.

I do a lot of B&W printing and this cartridge is a real workhorse. I don't count the pages, but these things run a long time without replacement.

Good shelf life too. I found an old one that's been on the shelf for longer than I can remember. Put it in my printer, and it works like a champ.

I suspect that the earlier reviewer of this item might have bought an 'aftermarket' refilled cartridge. I've had trouble with those, too. Have learned to stick with genuine OEM cartridges.

On 7/20/10 I ordered from Amazon a cartridge of HP black ink; the shipping date on the package was 7/26/10. I opined that the shipping was not timely and the $6.60 shipping cost was obviously set to augment the low price of the product. I just talked to Jacob at Super Deal, and he explained that when one finds a bargain price like that on Amazon, it is Amazon(not Super Deal)that sets the shipping and handling cost(evidently by default). I am sorry I castigated Jacob for this practice, since I now realize it is a ploy used by Amazon. I accepted the pricy shipping cost not because I thought it fair, but had spent too much time searching for the product and had to get back to work. Jacob offered to refund the shipping cost, but I refused; I felt it had been an education in the workings of both Super Deal and Amazon. I will not deal with Super Deal again, and in future I will carefully examine any dealings I might have with Amazon. Sincerely, Nan Sawyer

I won't order ink again.....dry/not usable.
I just disposed of the product. I then purchased the same ink from a local store without any hassle.

A new HP factory ink cartridge in the retail box. Works perfectly, no errors, no spotting. Best value for the money.

I definitely recommend factory cartridges for complete satisfaction.

Since I have never ordered a print cartridge before through Amazon (it was shipped by another company), I was a little hesitant but decided to take a chance because the price was reasonable (approximately $10.00 with shipping) and I have bought other items from Amazon and have never had a problem. The cartridge was shipped quickly and is printing well.

The product was received on time and in good shape. It was as advertised and we would purchase again. Good internet shopping experience.

For some reason I tried to use this in my printer but it would not recognize my machine. I buy the same ones at Costco and never had a problem. Not sure what went wrong. Dud!
