This cartridge is very light, easy to install and allows the printer to print out very good quality, durable black ink on the page. It is competitively priced and stores for about a year after you buy it so if you want to stock up for your office or personal printing needs that's great! (It even comes with an expiration date!) HP also packs it well so that it is difficult for the cartridge to become damaged during transit.

One thing that I didn't like, however, is that the ink can go quickly. If you print a lot, you might even need to replace this cartridge every ten days or so. My needs are about 20 pages per week and I have to change the cartridge roughly every five to six weeks. That's not good; although to be fair to this HP ink cartridge I am printing graphics.

Four stars (well, maybe three and one half stars) for being great ink in an easy to manage and install cartridge. It loses points for not lasting longer.

I've had nothing but problems with second sources and refills. For just a few dollars more, my printers work trouble free when I use only OEM inks.

A little investigating shows the HP 92 holds only 5 ml and is interchangable in many application with the HP 98 that holds 11 ml.

HP makes lot of money from the cartridges. Though it is pricey, I would go with HP parts only

Ink for ink jet printers is criminally expensive. I've started to print to PDF and run hourly back ups. Now I just need to implement an off site back up strategy for redundancy. The best way to combat overpriced ink jet cartridges is to stop printing.

I found that both work as well. I now have them refilled at my local drugstore for much less. Walgreens for one....

hen you first install the cartridge, the printer automatically consumes unnecessary ink by printing a test page with massive wide lines of ink. HP Printers consume more ink in less time than any other printer on the market! I would recommend dropping this INK GUZZLER in the circular file and purchasing the I860 Canon Printer (Consumer Report Best Buy) for more economical printing and better results overall.

Another typical ink jet consumable, very small, runs out fast, and costs way too much. Just will have to wait for the 3rd party knock-off to come on the market.

Great ink but my printer uses a lot of it so I will prob.... try to get another one ASAP but untill then I would buy again.

Ink quality is great but the price is way too high (no matter where you buy it). I give it 5 stars on quality but 2 stars on price.
