1 Less than a year of display permanence behind glass is average for North America refill ink brands tested by Wilhelm Imaging Research, Inc. (see www.hp.com/go/printpermanence). HP Vivera ink and HP paper average 40x greater display permanence behind glass than refill inks with recommended paper.
2 Average based on ISO/IEC 24711 or HP testing methodology and continuous printing. Actual yield varies considerably based on content of printed pages and other factors. For details see www.hp.com/go/learnaboutsupplies.
3 A QualityLogic 2009 study compared Original HP inkjet print cartridges (92A, 93A, 98A, 95A, 21A and 22A) with refilled ink cartridges sold in North America. For details, see www.qualitylogic.com/2009HPinktest.pdf.

Enough with HP products...,

HP ink cartridges are notoriously overpriced. I have the photosmart plus. It's a good machine but drinks more ink than a drunken sailor drinks. The cost to keep replacing the ink makes this machine not worth it! The only way to stay out of the poor house with HP printers is to buy aftermarket ink to refill your cartridges. HP protects against this (because they dishonestly make their cartridges run down so fast) by not allowing the computer chip to be reset (can someone out there make a device to do this please). So, you can use aftermarket ink to fill your cartridge but you won't get a read-out on how much ink is left...this is really annoying.
This will likely be my last HP printer...I'm sick of paying them so much for their ink when other companies are so much cheaper and offer the same or better quality products...

Get a Lexmark, HP soaks you with the Ink,

We got an HP Photosmart Plus Printer after our Lexmark (which was 8 years old) needed to be replaced. I would have gotten another Lexmark, but the salesman talked us into an HP Printer. Big mistake. You may get a deal on the printer, and they show you how much less the ink cartridges are, BUT, you'll be replacing the cartridges ALL THE TIME! Our Lexmark's cartridges lasted us for months, the HP cartridges last maybe 2-4 weeks with the same amount of printing. Note that there are 4 cartridges to be replaced, all run out 2-4 weeks after being replaced.
Whatever you "save" by a smaller price on the cartridges, you'll more than make up for it by buying them more frequently. Also, it is obvious HP realizes that the ink cartridges are their money maker. We are CONSTANTLY BARRAGED WITH EMAILS FROM HP to buy their ink cartridges. If that's not enough, the HP program in my computer has pop-ups to tell me to buy more ink cartridges.

No issues with this ink,
This review is from: HP 564 Photo Ink Cartridge in Retail Packaging (CB317WN#140) (Office Product)
This ink is fine. I am sticking to the manufacturer's ink since I have had problems using non-proprietary ink with printers in the past. I just wish it was less expensive. I have switched my printer setting to the economy mode which helps the cartridge last longer. If I want better quality printing I switch it to a different setting and then put it back on the economy setting.
