Low Ink,

This review is from: HP 92 Black Ink Cartridge in Retail Packaging, Twin Pack (C9512FN140) (Office Product)
I can understand that HP sells their printers at a reduced rate and makes their money on the ink cartridges, but the small amount of ink in this pack is ridiculous. I am going back to re-fills. They're trying to cheat their customers.

Many people get frustrated with how long the ink will last with their printers. It is important to note that this is an issue with all printers and all ink. The name brand is always better than a recycled cartridge as well. I feel very lucky for my printer requires merely a cartridge for black, color and one for photo printing if need be. I only use the black and color and find with the black ink the estimated 220 page yield is pretty accurate. I don't do major project priniting like graphics or anything.
Many of my friends have printers that require black and a cartridge for each individual color for a total of about 6 cartridges before it will even print. How much more expensive that would be. And they have the same problem with how long the ink lasts. I tried recycled cartridges for awhile for they are a little cheaper but they would always clog after a while and I would then have to use the clean process thru the printer which uses much ink. I got at least a 30% lesser page yield with these recycled ones and also had the added frustration. To get full deep clarity of color in the printing was rare. But when I use the name brand HP I never have the cartridges clog, the printings are always full with no fading and I can check the ink level on my computer. I just accept the page yield I get from them, purchase them at Amazon where I get great prices and I can always rely on great printing. Again sadly, the page yield is a problem with all brand printers. And the price I paid here for the 2 black cartridges was unbelievable. I understand the frustration but say this is the best quality and longest yielding ink you will get for an HP printer. Highly recommend.

LOW INK ~ Sample cartrige sent ~ will NOT replace!,

This review is from: HP 92 Black Ink Cartridge in Retail Packaging, Twin Pack (C9512FN140) (Office Product)
I purchase and paid for NEW not used ink cartrides and when I used them, they soon ran out of ink. I opened the fill holes under the label and saw that they had sold me what is know as SAMPLE cartridges. There was no foam packing from the middle of the cartrige to the back side. These are cartriges that are inserted by manufactures into newly purchsed printers to get you started. But are not intended for long term printing. I wrote to them (Infinite-Surplus)about it and they told me I would have to take it up with HP & not them. I wrote them back and said I purchased from you (Infine-Surplus) not HP and they should take care of thier customers. They from that point on ignored all of my e-mails.And now I am put out with having to deal with HP for replacements. I WILL NO LONG PURCHASE INK FROM INFINITE-SURPLUS! THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THIER PRODUCTS! AND THEY PRETTY MUCH TELL YOU THAT IN THIER RETURN POLICY.

First, you really get a great deal on this Twinpack Inkjet Print Cartridge compare the prices wiht any other retail stores like CIrcuitCIty or Target, or just buying one.
Every-time you install a new cartridge, the printer automatically prints a test page, and I check the ink level right after, the printer could use up as much as 5-8% ink, but you could prevent this by press the "cancel" button when it just starts to print the test page. Printer will print very good quality black ink on page with this cartridge, but the ink use up very quickly. It says on the box that you could print up to 220 pages, I print page usually on fast normal mode and I track the pages that the printer can print, I couldn't even print up to 150 pages . !!(just word documents, no graphics). I'd use this ink cartridge for my printer for about two years, the ink can last from 3 to 5 months for normal printing. So, it really depends on what you need to print, and if you do lot of graphics, or just print a lot, I suggest you check out other brand name printers, such as canon, for economical printing and quality.

I went to target and each one was $14.99 plus tax. I also checked overstock and Amazon has the best price. I would definately recommend this - plus free shipping!

I don't do a huge amount of printing, so have not experienced any running out of ink too quickly. The twinpack was on sale, so it was a pretty good deal. Cheaper than Target, etc. Shipping was fast. All in all, a satisfactory purchase.

If you are going to buy this ink, understand that it is going to last you for only about ~150 pages or so, not the 200+ pages it says on the box, and that's a generous estimate. If you don't use the printer often you won't notice it, but that's how many pages the ink lasts. Yeah, it's cheaper than what you get in the store, but the kind in the store actually lasts as long as it says it is going to (as far as I remember), about 220-250 pages. I am giving this product 1 star because I want to discourage this type of deceptive advertising. I am getting really sick of HP and their lousy paper-jamming printers and expensive ink.

The Amazon service is excellent. This was shipped USPS and arrived very quickly. It was well packaged and arrived in excellent condition. That is the good part. The ink cartridges work just fine but contain a small amount of ink. That is HP's way of giving you the shaft. The printer itself is fairly inexpensive but the markup on the ink cartridges is where they stick it to you. That is the bad part. One of the factors to consider in making a printer purchase is the cost of replacement cartridges. If you go with a HP just be sure you don't bend over.

Delivery was a little slow but the price was right and the product is 5 star. Someday I hope manufaturers would put enough ink in those cartridges to last 4 or 5 times as long. The printers are practically free but they make the real profit on the ink.
