No problems at all with set-up; very good quality printing.

I would say this is a very good, low volume printer for basic home office needs.

I will probably trash my printer as soon as I get another one.

Office Depot has this printer on sale this week for $40. (Note: You will need to purchase a USB cable if you do not have one from an old printer.)

I thought it was easy to install and after two days of use I am very satisfied.

There was one problem though.

The tri color cartridge was defective. So I called HP at 800-474-6836 and with virtually no time on hold spoke with what appeared to be an English speaking USA customer support person without a hard to understand accent like with Dell Computer. Yay!

The call was somewhat complicated since my registration was not on file yet. But we were able to work around that.

He told me this is not uncommon (or at least not rare). He suggested I call Office Depot and arrange to have the tri color cartridge (HP called it a "setup" cartridge) replaced with a new HP 61 Tri Color cartridge.

Such a deal! Especially after I used my time and gas in my car to return it.

Office Depot said I only needed to bring my receipt, the defective cartridge and my driver's license to get a free new 'regular' tri color cartridge.

I also purchased an HP 61 Black cartridge for $15 and must say I left Office Depot a happy camper.

Love this printer. Such an amazing deal on an incredible printer. If fast, light, easy on the eyes. .. The print and scanned copies come out identical. Great easy online download to setup that I didn't have to wait for my husband and I am not a techy kind of person. Super nice, super love. Everyday use and it turns off itself to conserve ;)

I ordered this after many year of only purchasing Brother All-In-One printers. I have consistantly had problems with the Brother printers in the past. I have to say that the most time consuming and most difficult part of setting this HP printer up was plugging it into the power strip. The print quality is superior and the size does not take up half my desk like the Brother. My mother has had this printer for about 5 years and she uses it mainly to print the weekly church program hand out, lots of printing and her is perfect. I am really glad that I purchased this, money well spent.

This printer was a nightmare for me and a total loss.

I only print a few pages a month so I didn't need an expensive printer, which is why I went with this product. Setup was easy using the enclosed CD but for some reason the print quality was terrible as each line had streaks going through them and sometimes the line was missing the top portion. Running through the install again and cleaning the print cartridges and aligning the heads didn't help. Doing an update on the software and drivers also did nothing. Print quality was so bad I couldn't even print a decent test page to scan in for the printer to adjust the quality.

After about 3 hours I called their support line and basically did the same thing again. Now, about 5 hours into this and 5-6 driver reinstalls, reboots, head aligns, etc., tech support said to the print cartridges must be bad and I need to get replacements. Taking their advice I went out and bought new ones for about $30 (1/2 the price of the printer). After installing the new cartridges and doing the whole align/clean thing again the problem continued. Once more I called tech support and again we went round and round with driver delete/install, head clean, etc.

Finally almost 8 hours into this they said I should send in the printer for repair. After being told by the post office that it would be about $30 to send the package registered/certified, I decided to cut my losses and took the printer to the recycling center for disposal.

The other reviews are great so maybe I got a lemon but what a disappointment. I've been in IT for 35 years so I'm pretty good at getting things to work on computers but this just wouldn't cooperate.

Got this one on sale $39.95 at a local office supply store because my older DJ F-340 bit the dust right when I needed it most and couldn't be more happier; this one is quieter, faster and just a tad smaller than the F-340. You will need a USB connector that unfortunately doesn't come with it. It has a one year warranty with the usual extended warranty for a fee. The F-340 lasted 10 years and hopefully this one will too. If you are looking for a good little printer for the house I highly recommend this one; just keep looking around for sales and I got this one from Staples (until 6/13) which fortunately was near by and picked it up there saving shipping costs because they seldom stock this item.

It's small, easy to hook up, makes good-looking prints. It also scans and copies - all of it very easy.

Not a fancy printer, but it is easy to operate and install, plus it prints well & that is all I ask. The price is right too.

We needed a small all-in-one printer for the office, and this one is perfect! No problems at all with set-up; very good quality printing. Would definitely recommend.
