This camera is a great buy for the price! We just took it with us on two vacations and couldn't be happier with it. The menu is very intuitive, and the preset lighting options (nightlight, backlight, candlelight, etc) make it very easy to use it indoors, outdoors and even in museums. I'm very happy with my choice.
It is also light and small, so it can fit anywhere.

I love HP products. My last camera was a 5GB HP digital and I had to upgrade due to wear and tear, and so I purchased this one. The camera is extremely intuitive and easy to use. The small slide button on the back lets you transition easily between its three modes of photo, video, and review. It's screen options let you choose just how much information you want to display (if any) and it's menu is well categorized by priority.

My only gripe is that it does have a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. And if you're an avid photographer and are using it all day (like I sometimes will), expect the battery to be dead by days end or the next day. As I do a lot of camping and can't find an electric outlet for days at a time, this lack of battery life can be a hindrance--so I bought a second battery to simply interchange it with (though a third wouldn't be a bad idea!).

For the price we paid, the camera is what we expected. Good pictures, easy to work with, and better than our last HP camera at less the cost.There are some features we haven't even started to use yet, so I'm sure we can take pictures in almost any situation.
The only con is the screen is hard to see in the sunlight.

I am pleased with this camera for the most part. Only downside that I have is the on/off button is very small. Also when deleting pictures, must press arrow key each time to delete a picture

This is our first digital camera, and so far it's worked great. Spent a good deal of time learning all the buttons, different ways one can shoot, etc. Impressed with macro function, zoom, and clarity of pix. Less so w/battery - I think I ran it down using the movie function and learning about everyting else. My advice - get a backup battery. Very impressed and I would recommmend this camera to others.

At first it seemed just fine. After a couple of months the LCD started losing picture. First looked like a little crack (was not a crack)then some part just went blank than 1/3 went blank, than 1/2 and then I had to order a different camera. Pictures were not as clear as 12 MP should be. Pix taken at the correct setting in the sunlight were so bright it was difficult to see what's on them. Pix in the darker areas were coming out grainy.
I would not recommend it.

This is a great little camera for the price. The screen is a good size and it is easy to use. Would recommend this camera.
