This Dash Cam so far is very good. I just got it today so I don't have reliability data on it yet.
I have noticed that the picture quality is outstanding. True1920x1080. It's sharp even in the corners. Colors look natural, License plate numbers are readable a good distance away. It has a wide viewing angle, but it is not as distorted as some of the other Dash Cams I have seen. Night video quality is very good. Audio quality is very good.
Quality of construction is very good, doesn't feel cheap.
The text on the LCD screen is readable without a magnifying glass so setup is easy. There is any gap at all in recordings.
GPS unit works well. It includes an application that will show you driving and also plots your location on google maps. You are allowed to select several options on the map such as magnification and satellite or Hybrid view. This does work in the USA.
Pros:
1. 1920x1080 resolution.
2. Good quality audio
3. GPS works well with included software.
4. Quality construction.
5. LCD screen easy to read and set up.
6. Night Video is very good.
Cons:
1.Speed is in Km instead of MPH and I haven't found a way to change that yet.
2.Doesn't ship with a HDMI cable.
3. The Power cord could be a little longer, but that can be extended with the correct mini USB cable if needed.

Update: After several weeks with this dashcam (windshield cam), and buying a second, competitive unit (a cheaper E-Prance GT-680W, without GPS), I'm revising my review downward a star. It's still pretty good, but I think there are weaknesses for the price point.

Cons
- Compared to the (cheaper) E-Prance GT-680W (without GPS), nighttime image and wide dynamic range contrast at night are not as good, by an easily noticeable margin (minus one star for that alone).
- Although firm at the beginning, the HP-supplied suction mount has tendency to loosen, which amplifies road vibration (probably reason for some of the shaking comments, earlier).
- I now don't see any way to retroactively change US/English units to Metric/SI, so I think that may have been a one-time menu choice when I first turned-on the unit.

Pros
- Compared to (cheaper) E-Prance GT-680W (without GPS), it is easier to navigate menus and configure unit - more intuitive
- Compared to (cheaper) E-Prance GT-680W (without GPS), still images are much easier.
- Compared to (cheaper) E-Prance GT-680W (without GPS), internal battery lasts much longer (15 min vs less than 5 min)
- Compared to (cheaper) E-Prance GT-680W (without GPS), overall build quality seems much better (subjective)
- Compared to (cheaper) E-Prance GT-680W (without GPS), unit has GPS (even if you can't turn off speed indication).
- Compared to (cheaper) E-Prance GT-680W (without GPS), HP unit looks less obviously like a camera - less obtrusive (or invitation for smash-and-grab)
- Daytime image is still excellent, even compared to (cheaper) E-Prance GT-680W (without GPS)

Conclusion: Still OK, but marginally I'd buy the E-Prance again over the HP.

I chose this dash cam because of the name hp. (knowing that it had quality in construction, and a good name behind it with lens etc.)
It performs great in all light conditions, also picture clarity exceeds expectations.
I would recommend this unit to all drivers that feel they want backup info in case of an accident or collision. This would help insurance come to a at fault decision. Also in the event of a death, it assists police with their investigation, and would help family come to terms to exactly what happened.
I hesitated in the purchase decision, because this f210 did not advertise about the operation in low light condition. (eg night driving)
After viewing the pictures at night i am satisfied.
Perhaps an option would be a case to protect it, when vehicle left in parking lots, i remove camera from dash and either carry it, or put it out of sight for would be thieves. (small compact case for pocket) Quick dissconnect is importment also.

This is an excellent DVR if you're looking for a low light / high res. My only gripe is that you can't change the speed to MPH from KPH. No big deal, I'm getting used to the conversion. I've got some stills from a lightning storm late at night that turned out nice. It seems to adjust to lighting conditions fairly quickly, and being able to hit one button to keep the current recording and put it into emergency mode is very helpful. Just update the firmware, HP, and I'll be very happy...

The camera's quality is good and works great, it has very sharp and clear video quality. The software (supercar) is totally worthless! The graphics for the speed dial are unbelievable, the speed needle is way offset from the dial center. You have to search for and open each video file separately. I can not believe HP would put their name on a product with such poor software. I did find a third party software that work much better.

Only had for one day so I'll update this review in one week and then again in one month. For now, here's my initial review:

The problem:
The mount's plastic to plastic connector piece that directly attaches to the cam has been very poorly implemented by HP's engineers: it does not firmly hold the cam in position resulting in a very slight wobble that's apparent in the video from normal road vibration. The rest of the mount seems sturdy to me, though.

My simple solution:
I cut a small rectangular piece of very thin cardboard and placed that into the hole of the mount (on the cam) -- that makes the connection tighter and my subsequent test videos are very stable. Just be sure to cut the rectangular piece of cardboard large enough to fill the rectangular base area of the hole so it won't fall out if you need to detach and reattach the cam.
----

The videos downloaded to your computer play just fine on a Mac computer using Quicktime Player (they're in .mov format).
If you wish to play your videos simultaneously with the GPS information then Google for a 3rd party program called "Dashcam Viewer". It is available for both Mac and Windows. I only tried the Mac version today. A recent update makes the software compatible with the HP F210. I downloaded and gave it a test and it seems to work very well and it's stable. A cool feature of the software is that it allows you to zoom in the video to capture detail such as a license plate number. Note that I'm not connected to the developer or the software in any way, I'm just someone passing along a helpful tip to Mac users.

Cam buttons and controls are simple and intuitive.
