I bought my first one in 2003. it provided great service. It can be used on a network and is compatible with Macs using OS 9.2. When mine broke down I looked for a new one rather than repair the old one. In 2003 they cost almost $600. I bought the new one for $200 plus shipping. It works quieter than the old one ever did. I was happy to find a new one even though they are no longer produced.
