First, the overall length of both cords combined that make up this Replacement AC Adaptor is 4 feet shorter than the HP factory original cords. This required me to buy an additional EXTENSION CORD in order to use this product.
Second, the adaptor box gets "firecracker" hot compared to the original.
Third, when plugged in to the wall outlet and disconnected from the PC and reconnected back onto the PC, the PC will not recognize it and the PC power light flashes until the adaptor is unplugged from the wall outlet and allowed to drain its stored power for 60 seconds. Then when plugged back into the wall outlet the PC will recognize the adaptor and take its power. This was never an issue with the HP factory original adaptor.
However, the price I paid was nice, at $15. And the product was deliver in new/unused condition.

The unit is a little bigger than the original unit, and does get a little hotter than the original. But all in all, it is functioning fine after a couple months.

I am on my forth one of these in 3 years. SEEMS LIKE HP WOULD MAKE A BETTER PRODUCT!

The adapter works very good, the service was good, the first one sent to me was the incorrect one, they were fast to send me the right one with quick turn around, no hassles, I will be ordering more products from them...Mahalo

Wow, where do I start. Good thing one: The product came in good time and worked. Problem one: it lasted only three months. It just quit working, led indicator light not lit, no power to my laptop. The previous one lasted two years. Ok, just a fluke so lets call HP Customer Care. This is where hell begins. Long story short: Problem two: the customer care nighmare begins. Called 1-800-India. Navigated the pushbutton maze and got a person in Inia. Spoke good enough english but Problem three: the line connection was terrible and I had to shout. Problem four: got disconnected. Recalled, pushbutton maze navigated, got person and repeated my story. Got a little further this time. Problem five: was transferred and put on hold for half an hour. Problem six: got diconnected. Problem seven, eight, nine and ten: repeat problem four. Got even further. Problem eleven: got disconected. Ok, time to go to bed will try tomorrow. Problem twelve: see all previous problems. Day three: Problem thirteen: stuck in customer hell... its a freakin tar baby. Finally ... got a guy who said "ok, we have all the data we need. You do not have to do anything further and we will send you a new replacemant power supply in two days." Imagine my joy. But, Problem fourteen: got an email asking for more info. I sent it. Guess what,they replied to my email with a request for the same info that I just sent. Its like they did not even read what I sent. I finally got mad. So they said they would "escalate" if I called them. Their system should be called "customer hell". Three days, over six hours in customer HELL.

this charger has broken in several places and is not a good replacement for the standard charger.

I bought this AC adaptor on January 7th and it is now March 20 and it has stopped working. I have check to make sure there is a 110 volts coming in, but nothing is coming out!
