The HP Compaq Business Desktop d530 Series provides the stability and manageability enterprise needed to reduce ownership costs, increase productivity, and reduce the complexity of PC ownership. Offered in an ultra-slim desktop, it's well-suited to enterprise-level companies, as well as small and medium size businesses who desire stable platforms with long lifecycles. This d530 (PB606A#ABA) features a powerful, hyper-threading 3.0 GHz Pentium 4 processor, 40 GB hard drive, 512 MB of installed RAM (with a 2 GB maximum), Windows XP Professional, super-fast Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, included keyboard and optical wheel mouse, floppy drive, and CD-RW drive.

The Basics

• Hard Drive: The Ultra ATA/100 40 GB (7200 RPM) hard drive is small in comparison with other desktop PCs in this price range, but it's understandable due to its classification as a business professional computer (where much data is shared and stored on networked servers).
• Processor: The hyper-threaded 3.0 GHz Intel Pentium 4 processor is at the low end of the spectrum for this processor (as of June 2005). Its hyper-threading feature allows this single CPU system to behave in some aspects like a dual-CPU system, helping to deliver faster transistors and increased performance.
