For anybody wondering, this is a 320GB HP Pocket Media Drive. As of the date of this review, the Amazon description says it's a "Personal Media Drive", which is a different type of HP drive. Combined with the lack of a product picture, it had me wondering what would show up. But the product ID (PD3200) is in the Pocket Drive family.

As of now, it's only a slight improvement in cost per GB over the previous iterations, but for people who need the capacity and have the correct drive bay, this offers a lot of storage. 298GB on mine.

Bought this to go with my HP Slimline desktop computer, to provide more storage space and portable backup capability. It's really elegant and simple how this hard-drive fits into the slot in my HP computer without any cords to connect, while still being portable and USB connectable to allow moving data from one computer to another. Haven't had a chance to use the backup software yet. Only reason I've not rated it at 5-stars is that it doesn't fit directly into other manufacturer's computers (which isn't HP's problem.) As usual, great price from Amazon and quick shipping with good communications even though this was provided by one of Amazon's cooperating vendors.

The Pocket Media drive for HP is an excellent choice if your Desktop is equipped with the Pocket Media Drive enclosure. You just insert the drive at any time and pop it out by pushing a single button. It comes with a USB cable so that you can use it outside of the desktop. I had this drive for more than 3 years, and used it every day. Moved data between my Home computer, office and school. Very good buy!
