I have been using this system for the past 2 weeks and I love it. This has got to be one of the best systems out there right now. I have researched quite thoroughly many other systems, including Dell and Gateway, and this system has the most for the least. I can't believe it packs in 2GB of memory, as well as a 320GB hard drive and a Dual Core AMD processor. You can't find all this anywhere else for $800!

I just bought this computer after comparing it against Dell and Gateway offerings. It is an incredible deal -- especially with the free HP printer (or $70 off an HP printer) and 19" LCD HP monitor bundle promotions from HP. A few caveats: (1) there is no DVI support (the video card supports VGA); (2) the computer comes with only one DVD-RW drive and no floppy drive; and (3) the HP Pocket Media drive bay is kind of a wasted bay. Note that the DVD drive supports LightScribe, though. All in all, an excellent deal.

Machine lacks additional bay to add additional internal hard drive, the power supply is only 300 watts which means if you want to add anything you need to swap out the power supply. So make sure the machine has everything you need as this is not a machine that will allow you to grow it.

One comment - had to call HP support - they were VERY GOOD.

This computer is a very good value. It serves all my needs so far. I would like to have more USB ports in front.

I have had constant problems with this computer since I bought it. It goes through phases where it won't start up at all, when it does start up I get an error message saying system fan error, and other times it works perfectly. I have been to the hp website and read up on other people's problems with this computer and it's the same thing. Sometimes you have to shut it down and unplug the power supply for at least an hour for it to maybe come back on. When it is working, it works well...that's "when" of course. I paid too much money for this computer. I thought when I bought it, because it's HP, I was getting a good computer. My inexpensive acer laptop works better! Maybe I should have went for cheap instead of brand, then maybe I wouldn't be so angry!

So far so good...I did upgrade to a extra DVD drive, but I have had no problems. I bought it to run vista & some of the higher end games (fear etc...) and it has worked without a problem. Great price for a dual core. The extra bay is a waste though...
