I recondition laptops and resale them, so I have had many opportunities to choose any of the laptops to keep as my personal unit, but I won't let this baby go for anything. It is perfect to watch movies on, do work on, to connect to my TV easily for internet TV or Netflix, and it even has a remote to control it with when you're watching movies!!! This laptop comes with Vista on it and I don't care what anyone will tell you, the Vista is way better on this then XP. Just upgrade your ram to the 4gb it allows you to and it works great! I had another similar laptop in that was a DV6000 series too with XP on it and I didn't like it. Have to mention one more cool feature of this laptop....you can command it with voice. You can even talk in word and it will type for you!! It has a microphone built in. This computer is also easy to repair and one of the easiest to buy parts and upgrades for if you ever have issues. You shouldn't though, I haven't :)

Bought this because the web site I reviewed said it had Windows XP Professional, but when I received it, it has Vista Home Edition. Having difficulty getting anyone to return my calls to return this item. One person said they would only accept a return if Amazon made it worth their while and compensated them. Haven't been able to reach them since. NOT HAPPY.
