4.0 out of 5 stars A solid performer at a good price!, February 4, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

I'm really enjoying my computer with Windows 7. As a novice I've had to use Hewlett Packard's assistance support which has been very responsive, patient and courteous with the help I've needed. The computer itself is fast and I've had absolutely no problems with glitches. Being able to play Blu-ray DVD's is a plus. The only thing I'm going to do is increase the power supply from 300 to 400 watts so that I can upgrade to a better graphics card for gaming.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Happy with PC, December 3, 2010

Amazing speed compared to my old Dell 2400. Very Reliable. Wakes up just by hitting the speaker button on the keyboard. Got a great price as a refurbished unit. Running Microsoft Security Essentials, and no effort to update antivirus ever.

2.0 out of 5 stars Too Flaky, May 8, 2010

This review is from: HP Pavilion E9220F-E Desktop Pc (Personal Computers)
When it works, it's a fine PC: good speed, good RAM, good external memory. However, on too many mornings, I wiggle the mouse expecting to see the display I left the night before, but instead, the screen is black. The CPU light is on, but wiggling the mouse doesn't bring back the display; pressing F2 doesn't bring back the display; good old Ctrl-Alt-Del doesn't bring back the display. I have to hold the on/off button down for about 10 seconds to turn off and reboot the CPU. If this had happened once, I'd let it go, but it happens all the time. I called HP support. They were very nice, but ultimately their advice didn't help.

And then sometimes the CPU just freezes while I'm in the middle of something (the cursor won't move and there's no red light under the optical mouse), and it must be rebooted. Needless to say, I am not impressed with this machine. [Note: After I bought this machine, I was having these issues, so I took it back and got another one. Same problems. What are the odds that I just happened to get the two flaky versions of this PC?]
