Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: HP Pavilion HDX18T 18.4-Inch 16:9 Laptop (Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 at 2.53GHz, 4 GB RAM, 500 GB Hard Drive, WUXGA Ultra Brightview (1920x1200 1080p), Blu-ray ROM, Fingerprint Reader, Vista Ultimate) (Personal Computers)
My laptop arrived quickly and in perfect condition. The quality of picture, sound, and function is outstanding. I would recommend this product to anyone, though for mobility purposes, it is quite large. I will continue to purchase H.P. products. There are currently (4) H.P laptops of different sizes in my household. I am 100% satisfied with my new purchase. Regards, Tracy E. McCallon

This is one heck of a Notebook / laptop. The 18.5" screen is wonderful and the fact you can have 2 Hard drives is great. I also like having a ESATA port available to connect an external drive with a lot better performance then USB2. Performance is good and Vista isn't really a lot different then WXP and didn't take much getting used to. This isn't a notebook your going to do lot of traveling with but if you want a great machine with all the features and no wires to connect plus the ability to move around a bit this is the Notebook for you. If you can find a notebook with more features then this at a price close to this I'd be surprised.

I purchased this system a few months ago, and everytime I pull this beast out of its case, and open it up I get positive feedback about its screen, size, and beauty of the system. It's powerful, the Ultra Brightview screen is simply beautiful. Playing movies on this system is a real joy, and feels as if your watching in a movie theater, the sound system is wonderful also. I didn't think I would like or use the fingerprint reader, but have actually found it to be a great tool, that keeps me from having to login to my favorite websites, this can also be dangrous though if you forget your login or passwords. The system is a beast when it comes to gaming, I'm not a big gamer, but the few that I've played ran extreamly smooth, Left 4 Dead 2, Call of Duty World at War, and Modern Warfare, all ran without a single hitch, and online play really screamed.
The system is professional looking so you won't be embarrassed to pull it out in the boardroom, It's classy looking and the graphics on the lid really rock. Tons of ports on both sides for anything you want to plug in, and the remote is a nice touch too. Only problem I've had is when the computer got knocked off my coffee table and landed on the charging port, had to send the computer off for repair, but HP support was very fast and helpful. The only complaint I have is that it is so large that I've had trouble finding a computer case that will fit it properly. I currently use a Targus case for a 17" laptop, and it is a snug fit. Nothing smaller will hold this monster. HP really got it right with this one, so treat yourself. |
