good all in one computer, March 21, 2010
This review is from: HP Pavilion MS225 18.5-Inch All-in-One Desktop PC (Black) (Personal Computers)
This computer was purchased for my parents to communicate with my brother stationed in Iraq. They use the web camera and use skype to talk with him from time to time. The computer itself does what they need in a casually used computer. Love the place saving design. Research, that I checked, seems to hold true with this computer. Has all the memory that they will ever need. Processing speed seems a little slow for my personal needs but for them it's great!

Pleasantly Pleased., June 24, 2010
This review is from: HP Pavilion MS225 18.5-Inch All-in-One Desktop PC (Black) (Personal Computers)
I bought this computer for my father's birthday. Before I start off, I'd like to point out that my father is an average computer user and so am I. The computer is mainly used for surfing the internet, reading email, and the basic MS Office Programs. The computer performs well these basic tasks and seems to be quite fast. Physically, the computer looks great. Big display, sleek design etc.
If you are looking for an average home computer, mainly to be used for surfing the internet, etc.. then this machine is perfect for you. If you are looking for more firepower for gaming or graphics I would go in another direction. The 1.6GHZ processor is decent, but will fall short for the extreme users.
Oh, and the price is also great.

Very Nice!, April 11, 2010
This review is from: HP Pavilion MS225 18.5-Inch All-in-One Desktop PC (Black) (Personal Computers)
Let us keep expectations realistic - the MS225 is a low-end desktop system and is priced accordingly. Given that constraint, it is a very nice system, and I would recommend it to others.
What sold me on this system was: a) the AMD CPU, which, while not a screamer, is dual-core and performs much better than the Intel Atom, the other CPU being shoved into low-end systems; b) the pedastal mount, which is much more elegant than other all-in-ones that rest the display on the desktop with a couple of stand-off spacers.
Oh yes, the pre-installed MS Windows OS was immediately dumped for Ubuntu 9.10, which works like a champ. Even the funky Atheros wireless chipset works out of the box.
The only thing I would change would be to increase the DPI of the display to have more pixels without changing the physical dimensions.
