For the money cant be beat,

I did extensive research before buying this pc. I was looking for the fastest, with the most memory, under $800. When I found this it was exactly what I was searching for. Have had it about a month and it works wonderfully so far. For the price, it is a steal

Very good upgradeable computer.,
This review is from: HP Pavilion P6120F Desktop PC (Personal Computers)
I have had this computer for over a year now and here are my thoughts:
Lets get this straight from the beginning: I love this computer. So why the 3 stars? Well it is because of these 3 factors: 1) This computer as it is out of the box is best suited for very basic operation, as its internal graphics are flimsy. 2) It is difficult to upgrade as there is little space under the lid to fit in new parts. I would suggest not trying to stick a two port graphics card into this machine. It can be done however. 3) Most Importantly I got this machine for $300 dollars less at Office Max. That was a steal. This is about average. I would not recomend this computer to someone who is timid about throwing in new parts. I would however highly recommend this computer to people who are not afraid of getting their hands dirty. What makes this computer great is that it is an excelent base to build upon with it having a 750 Gig harddrive and 8 gigs of ram. After getting a new power supply, a new (single port) graphics card, and two monitors, this computer was transformed into a beast which I can play the latest games at the highest settings and do heavy 3D work. ( I'm a beginning 3D game designer.) I highly recommend this computer to the techie who can find this at a better price.

Died after less than a year . . .,

We only had this product a couple months when it started making strange noises - but everything worked. Then the fan would come on after startup - but everything worked. Then it started making clicking noises - and NOTHING worked. This computer died after less than a year. We had a two year warranty with Best Buy (a total joke) and it was returned to have the hard drive replaced. So a month without a computer . . .
It is working again - but I have my doubts about long term. Best Buy said that this computer has to be serviced FOUR TIMES before they would replace it. Unbelievable . . . .WILL NEVER BUY FROM BEST BUY again - or ANYTHING HP. Now that we know a little more about our computer requirements - the next time we buy it will be from Amazon. I've had to returm very little to Amazon - but they make the process so easy and treat you like you are their only customer!

Faster computer,
This review is from: HP Pavilion P6120F Desktop PC (Personal Computers)
Its faster computer with 8 gb memory and 750 gb hdd.
I bought for $550 with free windows 7 upgrade on 2009 was good price. I have it for 2 years and still running fine with no problem at all. The only minus point is it's come with built in wireless which don't work if computer more than 2 feet far from router. |
